I learned to ride on a bullet 350 in the year 1996. Post which I rode my dads bajaj chetak from 98 to 02. This was in college from 98 - 00 (Bangalore). I was very lucky as had a lot of mishaps but escaped with minor injuries . Blame it on being immature. Post that the first major ride I did was to tons valley on a tbird350 in 06. Learned a very valuable lesson about the cornering ability of a royal enfield that it corners where it wants to and not where you want it to corner [emoji4] . I actually got off the road and spent the scariest second of my life when I realized that I could become superman. And it would hurt a lot.
The next major ride was to Leh in 07. I rode a bullet 500 . too much torque [emoji1] . as my fren would say enough torque to climb a tree [emoji13] We covered Delhi - jhalori pass - manali - leh - penggong tso - chushul - Hanley - manali . on the ride back from Hanley became superman for a sec and landed with a broken rib. Yes it hurts like hell [emoji16]
Post this I did not start riding till 2013.
I went to buy a cbr250 in 2012 but they did not have the color I wanted. Warna us din CBR apni hothi
2013 read about duke 390 and it seemed a promising bike. Made up my mind and booked the bike. Waited. Couple of months and finally got my bike.
Did my 1k break in period and did my first ride to chakrata in Dec 14. Followed it with a ride to Lansdowne . then a ride to chail. Followed with a breakout ride with two new riders to Lansdowne again. Last ride was in Dec 14 to munsiyari. Route followed was Delhi - rampur- rudrapur- haldwani- binsar- munsiyari- bheemtal- haldwani-del
Since I broke a rib I ride with full gear only. Gear includes 2 jackets . one jacket is for winters , the other is a mesh jacket for summer. One pants for winter. 2 pair of leather gloves. One vented , the other is full gauntlet. Full face helmet. Spine protector and one pair riding boots. And knee guard for summer. I have identified mesh pants for summers. Would be my next purchase. Planning to buy waterproof boots after that.
Rest thanks a ton for reading thru
