Hello everyone.
I'm Aniket. I ride a Royal Enfield Bullet 1983 model and Yes! I do wave at random motorcyclists and groups spreading the love for motorcycles.
A short story about me and my Bullet.
We never had a motorcycle in our family unlike cars or scooters. I've been a long time luker here and loved the idea of motorcycling, the importance of gears, helmet and brotherhood of motorcyclist. I really thank xbhp and everyone here.
I never had a charm of owning a Royal Enfield three years ago. Never seen it as a feeling or cult. Dad loved Royal Enfields but never bought one until one day I got a call from him saying he bought a Royal Enfield Bullet 1983 model in Nov'11. When I rode her the first time, I fell in love! Well, they say love is blind, isn't it? Indeed it is. What came as a package with this love was a Chandigarh registered, Punjabi silencer ridden 30 year old rusty Bullet. The long process of registeration started which the then super excited me wanted to do myself without bribing any agent. Result? 3 years of RTO bureaucracy with losing the original RC card by them and requiring a few unknown documents even unknown to the officials from chandigarh. Finally got registeration number on 16th Dec'14. Right now, she's still a rust bucket awaiting a paint job after monsoon, a new exhaust, a few new parts and with 400kms to go for compeleting running-in after an engine overhaul last month.
Apart from riding my motorcycle, I love test riding each of the new motorcycles coming in the market, except superbikes or harleys. Watching Motogp including Moto2 and Moto3. I support Valentino Rossi yet again wanting him to win from Motogp this year, supporting Tito Rabat from Moto 2 and Fenati from Moto3, also Mahindra team. If you too are a Motogp fan, it would be great to tag along.
Also a year back, me and two friends had started a motorcycle wrapping in Pune, we did three vehicles but had to shut down due to some internal issues. A camouflage RE bullet and two activas. Attaching the pics but we have shut down for now. Right now I own a RE bullet 1983, a wrapped activa and dreaming of RC390 in the near future.
