  • My intro

Akshay aka RJ20-14M-7402. Well strange for you, but it’s true. This is my identity, my motorcycle. Many people say, they ride/drive motorcycles. But for me the case is different. I say my RJ20 14M 7402, a Bajaj Pulsar 180 Dtsi (spoke wheels) allows me to ride her. It’s been five years since we are together and now we share a strong relationship of 80,000-plus km. Needless to say, we are in love with each other. And, today, I simply do not remember when was the last time I used a bus, train or flight to commute.

We have been through a lot of highs and lows together. Right from a freezing 3 degree C in the nights of Barmer in Rajasthan to the beautiful beaches of Goa, we have explored everything - India Gate in Delhi, Gateway of India in Mumbai, and, almost everything in between.

Growing gradually from riding a few hundred kilometres a day, we both have touched the potential of travelling 1,000 km per day, and, that to at peace.

Today, we are the fastest Man and the Machine* who logged 1734 km in 22.10 hrs, (in 180 cc class) as I have been recognised as the ‘Second Man in the World to finish such endurance race in India’ by the Iron Butt Association (IBA), USA, of course, thanks to my partner, my pulsar.

When I move to Ahmedabad for my job, she was already 75,000 km old. That’s when I learnt about the IBA, USA. The moment I read about the challenge, I knew that I had to achieve it. Together, we travelled 1000 miles (1600 km) in less than 24 hours keeping in mind the given set of instructions. Yes, today, we hold the title of ‘SADDLESORE 1000’ and are raring to go...

For some pics..u can check my profile..
