  • I just became the Duke man

    Hello to my fellow riders.
I am from Hyderabad an was an acid rider during my collage days. I witched between CBR, Bullet, Yamaha RX100 & RD before finally landing up with a Duke 390.
I think its a fantastic package.

I use it mostly for commuting but would also like to take it out for long rides. I look forward to sharing experiences and gaining more insight into getting the most out of my Duke.

Hello Surya , welcome to xBhp. The Duke looks stunning in black. Search for the ownership forum of Duke 390 in here, you'll get a lot of info of your bike as well as how to break in properly.

Super like dude! KTM Duke 390 is absolutely the best in its segment (rather it is the only one in that segment and really has no competition!) Heartiest congratulations - do take some time in learning how to ride this properly as it is extremely fast and hence can be dangerous for you if care is not taken.

Believe me when I say all this - because even I had ridden some really good bikes (RX 100, Shaolin, Shogun, Yamaha RD 350, Pulsar 180 DTSi etc!!) in my life before I went with Duke 200 in 2012, yet none of the older bikes prepared me for aggressive and urgent nature of Duke. RD 350 was fast no doubt - but its handling and braking was absolutely nothing compared to duke (comparing this stuff is wrong - but once upon a time that was the only fast bike available which one could legally buy without totally becoming bankrupt). KTM Duke 390 is a cutting edge street fighter - it simply urges you to go faster and faster every time you turn on the engine! That makes it dangerous as you are going 130-140 kmph before you can say "Happy Birthday Valentino Rossi!" So, take your time, gradually increase your high speed exposure, enjoy highway riding and eventually reach 160+ kmph even on Indian roads! Who says we can't go fast on Indian roads! With Duke 390 - you indeed can!
