I am Shivam, from Lucknow. I am 27 years old. and I work in a financial Institution. I have had a passion and love towards biking (pulsar 180, karizma zmr) in my college days 6-7 years back, but i couldn't afford to buy one as it would be an extra burden on parents as they had already managed a lot for my graduation fees and hostel expenses. So that passion had to die long ago with such conditions. and now at present, i had no intention of buying a bike as i was totally forgot of my passion towards biking. and i was even planning to buy a car in next 2 years. BUT then, I saw the new bajaj avenger street 220, and man i was totally amused with the looks of it. I decided to check it out at showroom. so I called a biker friend who owns a r15 v2, and together we went to showroom for a test ride and quotation.
Now the twist is, that the showroom was 25 kms away, and i decided to ride my friend's r15 on the way and gave him my hero pleasure. so, we reached to showroom and i asked for a test ride, they agreed to provide one, but... the test ride was only 100 metres. and a person who has never driven a cruiser bike in his entire life can't understand the feel of it in just 100metres. feel like god they say, i literally didn't feel anything, infact first 50 metres were spent to learn where to rest my shoes on it. i was disappointed as showroom guys declined to provide me a longer ride. but another thing that happened that day was, that i also rode r15 for the first time in my entire life. and i was amazed. so i went to yamaha showroom and asked for the quotation, and came back home. Took my time, looked for other options like c br 150, gixxer sf, pulsars, apache and finally decided to go with r15 and not avenger or any other as i loved the bike even more after watching youtube videos and reading the reviews and all on internet, yeah thats when i found xbhp, so today after more than a month i am posting this thread as i am going to buy my bike tomorrow evening which is streaking cyan r15 v2. and i know that from now on i'll be an active member of this forum as I'm planning to go for long tours on my bike and plus i need to learn a lot about maintenance and all.
so with this i am signing off, thanks for taking time to read about me, i'll be in touch, asking questions and stuff. and soon i'll be posting another thread asking some basic tips about a r15 newbie. take care , n bye.
