Hi ! I am Joe, in my forties and presently in Goa. I used to love bikes when I was young and all my friends used to own REs. I was all set to buy an RE back in the 90s, but I witnessed a string of accidents (purely the rider's fault) which made me change my mind. So I stuck to being a car guy for nearly 20 years. Now watching my son ride I found my passion reviving. So I finally went and got myself a black Honda CBR250R ABS. I feel its powerful enough for my needs as well as not being overly such so as to scare me. The ABS is of course for safety since its been a while since I've done this.
So there, since Dec, I've been riding and I am so in love with biking. I've been riding all over Goa, I especially love the chorla ghat road to Belgavi on which I've often passed groups of bikers zipping in one direction or the other.
My dreams include doing the Leh trip but more importantly completing the saddle sore and iron butt challenge.
But more immediately I'm planning to bike down to Kottayam, Kerala in the month of Feb as a first step towards longer rides.
So that's about me. Looking forward to great interaction with you people. I know that I'm probably among the older guys here, but what's age but a number?
