  • Hello brothers ..... Rookie here

    Hi Guys,

This is Naveen. I have been following XBHP for the past 2 years and learned a lot from you guys, however until now I'm not a active user here .

It started as a weekly visit to the XBHP and now I'm literally glued to this most of the day in my office and home. For me the reason for this addiction is due to the awesome travelogues, funny and yet useful discussions about bikes and it's related content.

Without you brothers we...the rookies would have never acquired the knowledge that we currently have and hopefully I can learn a lot more from you all.

Love at First sight and how it changed my LIFE:

My riding Partner and Soul mate is R15 v2.0, which is one of the most desired and jaw dropping bike since it's been launched in India .

it's is my first love and it will always be in my heart. Since from the college days whenever I see an R15, I used to be dumbstruck by it's beauty and performance.
it's like a boy who can't speak when he faces the love of his life. Years passed by and I was out of college with no idea what to do next in my life.

There's a saying "If you want something badly, you will get there no matter what situation you are in". May be GOD has seen what I desire and gave an opportunity to fulfill my dream to own a R15. I had to struggle for 1 year in convincing my parents and to arrange money for my bike. I was able to get financial support through my Job, However no matter what my parents are not convinced because they thought I will never be able to control that bike.

They asked me to get a splendor and that's where I lost my last bit of hope that I can convince my parents. I really wanted to convince them, because I just don't want to lose the trust they put in me all these years but I had no option left.

I said ok to buy splendor and directly went to Yamaha showroom and got the my R15 that day itself.

It's been one year since I have my R15 with me and I enjoyed each and every KM that I have covered over it and no major/minor accidents happened to me except some OOPS moments in parking lots in my initial 2 months of ownership.
Initially they are dissapointed and feared, but we all know that our parents love us no matter what we do and no matter where we are.

I am really looking forward to meet you guys......Cheers .

    Regards,
    Naveen

        Hi Naveen.
        Welcome to Xbhp, Brother.
        A fellow R15 V2 rider here.

I was at the exact same spot as you 2 years ago (March 2014). Fresh out of college and a new kid to the corporate world. The only difference is my parents were in full support for buying the R15 and backed me up.

I too longed for the R15 when I was in college and saved all my money till I had enough to buy one. Took me 3 years of saved college pocket money and 10 months of salary.

Guys at office who joined with me would show off their new shoes and cell phones and clothes every month when salary came, and I would hear all about their purchases with big smiles on my face, knowing that I am one step near to my R15. And finally when I bought the bike, It was bliss. Hope you went through the same feelings.

2 years, 17000 kms and counting on my beloved and wish the same for you, brother.
Ride Safe. once again, Welcome to the brotherhood.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

          Hi Ankey,

I know how it feels when you bought the bike. In my case it took almost 2 weeks to digest the fact that I own a machine that I loved and worked for .

Here my colleagues thought I'm going to sell the bike after 2 months, just because they have seen some guy who did the same. They even ask me now "Are you feeling comfortable with the bike?" after 1 year and the answer will always be FINE.

Different people have different opinions based on what they see from the situation.

I don't know if it's dumb or not, but I always fell that there is a mutual respect between both of us. It's the same thing that kept me safe whenever I ride.

I hope you will continue to have fun with her brother......Cheers
