      Hi there! Good to have you onboard! Regarding your question of opening a mod shop, a few thoughts as follows;

      1. How do you plan to estimate the cost of a certain job? Because, you'd also need to estimate the time taken to finish that job, and quote the rates to the customer.
      2. Engine mods or Chassis mods are not legal in India, and this might be a major roadblock.
      3. AFAIK, there are plenty of mod shops for bullets, be it cosmetic or performance oriented. Based on this competition, what do you think you could offer that would give you an advantage?
      4. You need to calculate costs for starting your shop, buying tools, hiring mechanics, salaries, and also operational costs.
      5. you need to establish good connections with the local spare part dealers, as most of the mod/mechanic shops operate on a credit basis w.r.t procuring parts.
      6. Finally, you have to understand that, to see profits, you will have to wait for at least 6 months to break even and reap profits.

      There are other senior members here too, who can give you a lot of information. Use this forum to the max, as knowledge is invaluable. All the best for your endeavours!

        Are you trying to mod your bike or trying to set up a mod shop?

                    It would be better to open up a service centre before you modify ! That way you will learn about most aspects of mechanical and electrical jobs on bikes and learn vital tricks of the trade!
                    Later on you can start some projects !
