  • Hi from Peter

    Hi Everyone,
I'm Peter. I've been here for a while but forgot to post my introduction. I was born and brought up in Goa and have lived there most of my life. I've done my schooling and junior college in Goa and further studies in Chennai and UK. I currently live in Margao, Goa. I came to know about XBHP through Team BHP. Obviously my passions have to include Cars & Bikes. I've been reading all the Auto Magazines since my school days. I read the road test of the RD 350 and decided I had to have one. In fact my first bike was a RD 350, though I learnt riding on a Bajaj M50 and then rode my friends RX100, my brothers KB100 and my sisters Sunny and Kinetic Honda before getting my own RD. After that I've owned a CBZ, a RX100, an Enfield 350 and currently an Activa and a KTM Duke 390. I should shortly be acquiring a Fiero.
I learnt driving in a Hindustan Trekker. Then I drove a Tempo Trax and a Premier Padmini before buying my very on Fiat Uno. This decision was made based on the comparison between the Zen and the Uno in an Auto Magazine. Despite everyone advising me against a Fiat, I went ahead and bought it. I never regretted it. I sold it after doing a Lakh Km and bought a "New Siena" 1.6 ELX (Later re-named Petra), did close to a Lakh and sold it. Then I bought an Alto, i10, Rapid, Celerio and a Tata Safari 4x4. I currently own the Rapid and the Celerio. A few years ago I bought back my Uno and restored it and then gifted it to my Nieces who just learnt to drive. During my time in UK, I owned a Ford Escort (Worst Car) and an Audi 80.
Besides automobiles I also have a passion for bicycling. I currently own a Bianchi Via Nirone 7 Road Bike and a Firefox Target MTB.
I'm a seafarer by profession. I am currently serving as a Master (Captain) on board a a Chemical Tanker though we are currently not carrying any chemicals. What we are carrying is a liquid which most of you will be most interested in. Yea the one which keeps your bikes running. I am currently sitting on 49000 Tons of it. Enough to keep your bikes running for a long long time.
My other passions are music and sports (motor sports, cycling and football).

    Hi Peter

Great intro. If you are willing to cause a leak from that tanker into our bikes, you might suddenly be inundated with friend requests

Good to see another motor'cyclist' here
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

After discharging all the cargo, the unpumpable left over will probably be enough to give each and every one of you a tankfull for your bikes.

Good to see another motor'cyclist' here
What "Um-motored" cycle do you ride?

          Ahoy Captain, welcome to Xbhp!
Nice intro and a very interesting profession you have there!
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

A Planet-X Kaffenback mostly. I also have a Trek 4300 which i rarely ever use, mostly lend it to friends who want to take a dip into the world of cycling before taking the final plunge!

Man, that is the most interesting intro I have ever read.
A very warm welcome to the club.
And wish you many happy and safe miles ahead.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.
