  • Hello xbhpians!!!!!!!

    A small intro.
My name is Sahil, from aamchi Mumbai.
Glad to be a part of this community.

The day I got accepted in this community was the same day when I had to let go of my Bajaj Avenger 220 DTSI which served me well for five and half years and 18500kms. But as I know my archer (avenger) wouldn't ever let me be sad because every single time I rode her, she made sure that I had a smile on my face at the end of the ride. So I am writing this intro with an heavy heart and excited at the same time, about my new bike the Duke 390, to be delivered in 5 days. The wait is just excruciatingly painful. I am pretty sure most of you'll must have felt what I am going through now. So let me not make this post long by writing something which is boring.
So in short helloo to all and adding a pic of my archer.

    Hi Sahil

    Welcome to xBhp

It is indeed difficult to let go of a motorcycle that you have cared for.

Congrats in advance for the 390
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

        Hi Sahil,
        Welcome to the brotherhood.
Congrats for the new ride. Looks like you are moving on to bigger and better things.
May you have many many happy and safe miles on your new ride. Post pics when you bring her home.
        Ride safe.
I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Fellow members I also would I like to know?
While booking the bike the showroom manager told me, they will not provide me with any number plates, I will have to get them installed from outside.
As the RTO has made IND number plates compulsory.
So to sum up to that I'll be taking the bike home today with no number plates but with all the papers, which I found to be a little weird.
Can someone throw some light on this. On how much of it is true ?

Congrats for the new ride brother.
Didn't the showroom provide you with temporary number? It is valid till you get your permanent number plate from the RTO.
If there is no provision for temporary no. in your city, then no problem, just keep all the receipts and papers all the time with you. And if a cop stops you for plates provide the receipts and give them the genuine reason. There should be no problems.
