  • Hi!

    Hey Guys!

    How's it going?

I'm not new here but i had to create another account because my old account under the name of "tron" just isn't working . I did log in a month or 2 ago and it worked just fine - i fear that it has been deleted or hacked. I'm not sure.

Anyway, I've never introduced myself because i have always been busy with work and i used to log on a bit to check stuff out on xBhp. You guys have a good thing going here!

I used to work as a Project Manager with a gaming company not too long ago and then i decided i want to work with bikes - is this a midlife crisis? I'm not too sure but i have been riding for 23 years and have maintained my bikes (thanks to my dad) by myself ever since i got my first super bike which was a very very very long time ago. I'm mechanically inclined, can fix badly broken bodywork with no problem, good analysis skills and love the new bike toyz that are available in the market.

I've just stated out and have sold several aftermarket fairing kits and HID kits too. I have also helped some guys in Delhi with their Kwak's - i have a long term relationship with a Kawasaki dealer in England and can get anything from them. I happen to own a 1992 ZX11 and a 2002 ZX12R - yep, i love the kawa's.

I would love to help people out on xBhp any way i can and hope you guys will support me along the way.

    Thanks!

p.s. it is good to be here!

Welcome to xBhp tronxk, I've also had a similar set of issues with the username and p/w. I think that's because an account is deleted if it has been inactive for quite some time, that might have been the issue with mine and yours too. Anyways, I've also posted my intro now (awaiting approval). You've written you work upon bikes, is it only the larger capacity bikes that you work upon? Can you help me with my 2-stroke Max 100. I want to increase its power (bhp) but unfortunately don't have the requisite skills to DIY. Let me know, I am in Noida and can come to Delhi on weekends.

          hey

          hey guys,

          thanks for the welcome

i'll post some pics shortly - i've never really got down to doing it digital, only with a conventional camera.

hey mav3r1ck, i've mostly worked on big bikes but can try and help you out.
usually, the best way to gain some quick horsepower is to lighten your bike but i'm not sure if you want to do that on a 100cc bike - there's no telling how balance would be affected if you're zipping at high speed. you also run into vibration issues

          however, here is a few things you can do;

          1. put in a lighter exhaust system (for every 4lbs you lose, you gain 1 hp)
          2. change your airfilter - 1-1.5 hp increase
          3. remove the centre stand

unfortunately, with an airfilter change, you might have to adjust your carburation - a jetting change. but these some quick ways to gain some horsepower.

other ways to increase hp are boring out your cylinder to accomodate a lager piston, lightening the crankshaft (which i would not recommend because it requires precision)

i don't recall the max 100 but send me a link to some detailed info - i'll give it a quick read.

          later
