Been waiting for the right time to give my introduction here. I have been following xBhp for about 2 years now and finally decided to Join.
I used to ride a Honda Activa for about 2.5years. I wanted to get into MotoVlogging really bad, but at the time I did not have the necessary gear for the purpose.
About 2 months back I sold my Activa and got the Suzuki GSX-150F (Gixxer SF
) Its a funny story actually. Originally the plan was to sell the Activa and get another Moped. Visited TVS to check out the Jupiter, visited Hero to check out the Maestro Edge, visited Suzuki to check out the Access 125. While in the Suzuki showroom, my eyes did go on the Blue SF. I came back the next day and booked a Black SF. Did not take a test ride because I wanted to take my chances given the motorbike had already received several accolades last year. And I must say I am more than pleased to have bought this bikeHave completed about 1600KMS. The gear is still clunky but I sure hope it smoothens out as the miles progress.
Now, I am a Rookie Rider. This is actually my First Motorbike; well technically its the Second but the first Geared bike. Before getting this bike I had absolutely no prior experience on riding a motorbike. I just had theoretical knowledge. I thought about getting a used bike and practicing on that before getting a new bike but then on a second thought that investment would have been rather pointless. There are great new bikes these days that are absolutely low-cost off the showroom floor. Getting a used bike for practicing just doesnt make sense anymore. So after getting the SF, I naturally learnt to handle my bike under traffic pressure.
Regarding Riding gear, I had gotten that back when I had the Activa. The gear seemed awkward on the moped but its for Safety not for Show. I had to explain this to my friends and colleagues countless times.
About myself, well I am a Junior Doctor from Hyderabad, still doing my internship. Hopefully next year I will be doing my Post Graduation as well. But I must say since I have started riding, I feel a lot more relaxed and calm in my hectic daily schedule.
Thank you, everyone!
Till Next Time
