Belong to the category of humans who are petrosexuals.
Owned CBR250R for four and a half years and sold it recently.
Created some memories and had hectic experience while owing it.
Can't make up my mind between buying a new bike right now or wait for some time and move to bigger capacity motorcycles.

I am a big fan of CBR 250R
And cherish the memories that i have spent with her.
The good memories are on my fb page and bad in my heart.
I bought my bike on 27 Sept 2012
My ordeal started after 10 months of owing it
I was riding with fellow CBR rider and suddenly a huge noise came from the engine and my bike got stalled
Took it to asc in the morning and i got to know that its Rocker Arm got broke.
The ASC fixed the bike at zero cost cause it waa under warranty.
My bike than started leaking coolant from the engine and i have to take it to the ASC repeatedly but they couldn't get the problem fixed.
In Oct. 2013 my bike's engine got siezed will running just 14000kms.
Whole block, crankshaft, piston, camshafts got changed under warranty but they took almost two months because lack of spare parts.
Created a big scene in ASC with 10 of my friends than only i got my bike back.
Than in 2014 april 20th i met with an accident
Not a scratch on my body because i was wearing knee guards elbow guards shoes helmet and gloves.
But from inside
My face still has two titanium plates lodged ( i was wearing studds downtown helmet ) and i got a titanium rod inside my left femur which i got surgically removed on 25th May 2016.
Five stitches on my head.
Let me describe the accident
I was standing on a trisection and waiting for the signal to become green with 6 of my friends and we all were riding solo
An auto was the last vehicle which got to my lane from the opposite side and than signal became green and we moved. I reached till the starting point of divider and auddenly the auto which was infront of me by now shifted to another lane because two oncoming bikes were coming in the wrong direction. I dodged one but the other was just behind that and i had a head on collision.
I suffered in the hospital for 7 days in ICU
And that is because a guy on bike was coming on from the wrong side of the road beside the divider on a 6 lane national highway.
It took the company guys 5 months to fix my bike under zero dep insurance.
And it took me 3 years to fight the case in raipur district court as the guy wasn't having a valid third party insurance.
And than In july 2015 my bike's engine again got siezed while doing 28000kms on odo
This time again all the above mwntioned parts plus injector valves got replaced.
I lost the faith in my bike Honda CBR 250R from that day.
I feared that it will again brake down on the road.
Although it didn't troubled me from that day till i sold it on 23 feb 2017 and the guy who bought it is enjoying it thoroughly but i knew that i couldn't keep on riding it.
I haven't told him about the situations when i sold the bike as it wasn't material fact to disclose as my bike didn't had a scratch and engine was nimble as f....
The engine siezed for the first time because my mechanic had installed larger shims in petrol intake and that's why engine was heating and my coolant was leaking. And he had put mineral oil which is used for activas in my bike because they didn't had stock of fully synthetic oil.
That's what Company engineer from gurgaon and i diagnosed when i told him in detail when he visited the ASC at thw time of second engine seizure.
Both the times i didn't paid for any parts or labour costs and persuaded the ASCs to do it for free.
I changed the ASC after the first Mechanic seized my engine.
Still Can't figure out why it got siezed for the second time.
I sold it while 41600kms on odo as i feared that it will again get knocked up
Because first 14000 second 28000
Who knows if i had it for another 400 kms till 42000 it will be good.
I contacted honda office in delhi numerous times and wrote to them but they discarded my applications and requests as i didn't enrolled for extended warranty. I paid for extended warranty but the dealer didn't got me enrolled in it.
I was a kid when i bought thw bike at the age of 20 so i didn't imagined that i will go through this kind of situation and didn't asked for any proof.
In conclusion
1. Always. Always. Wear your safety gears.
2. Get all the papers checked will buying a bike.
3. Always have a valid third party and own damage inaurance. And if possible accidental medical insurance as it costed me 3.5 lakhs in hospital.
4. Never ride beside divider as you don't know when an idiot can come from wrong side and you will not be able to maneuver.
5. Always get extended warranty on any mechanical aur electronics product.
6. Get your self to consumer court in time so that you can get justice in time.
7th and last point
Don't compell me into detailed writing cause it took me half an hour to write this comment
And it will take you atleast 10 mins to read it. [emoji12]

Hi Sujay, welcome to xBhp.
Time heals. And experience is the best teacher.
This is from some who is having two steel plates and eight screws in his right hand(one each for radius and ulna) for more than three years now. All because of a pothole was not repaired during road maintenance by the local municipality. His odometer read approximately 9000 km.s back then. Now he has completed 44800 km.s on the same bike.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
