  • Hello Everyone

    Hello everyone,

I am from Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, presently based out of Bangalore.

This is actually my second post on here; the first one went in the Mojo thread, my principle reason for joining

I have been riding/driving since my college days and it has always given me immense pleasure and a sense of freedom. Been lucky enough to get married to someone who accompanies me on my rides without too much of a fuss, although am yet to do anything more than 350 kms a day with her. The first bike that I owned was a Yamaha Fazer 125 (the twin headlamp one) before I graduated to the first generation Pulsar 200. My initiation on long road trips happened on that bike and I loved it to the core. Since my needs dictated a more relaxed ride, bought a RE Electra in Jan, 2011 and have taken her to most places in Kerala and Karnataka, including a longish 2800 km round trip from my hometown through Wayanad, Coorg, Sakleshpura, Bangalore and the Hampi circuit. RE maintenance has finally caught up with me and most probably, I will be a Mojo owner soon . I own an Access 125 as well.

Our family had a 2004 Honda City and I currently own a 2012 VW Vento and 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift, all of them have been on some good road trips over the years.

Looking forward to sharing my future experiences with the community and generally have a good time here.

    Best Regards
    AC

    Hi Acme

Welcome to xBhp. Congrats in advance for the Mojo

Mahindra's aggressive marketing to showcase the Mojo as an alternative to REs seems have found a convert in you
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Welcome brother. Hope to hear about your rides soon enough. I'm from Thrissur too. I own an RE as well. I love the Mojo but I'm more partial to CBR and Dominar in that regard. However, I love the RE more than all of it. Haha..

Its more to do with the RE maintenace costs still love it though. But finally decided to move on. Funnily enough, the mojo was last on my list. Jumped to the top after all TDs were done. It was the solid product that got me rather than the marketing

Thank you Even I love RE, just don't want the hassle of owning one would wait for them to bring out a superb product before picking another one up. Hopefully they do it with the 750 twin what with all the heat that the Bajaj-Triumph deal could bring in future.

RE selling a maintainance free motorcycle is analogous to Apple selling customisable iPhones. It's just against the company policy, haha.. The fan following it has garnered is due to a strong foundation for personal improvisation and tuning. Quite honestly, I feel that RE is not for everyone. However, I agree with your view, and I hope RE can concentrate on easily customisable motorcycles and hover less over easy-to-break easy-to-fix mantra, but it doesn't seem entirely possible.
