Hi everybody I am an ex army guy, looking forward to meaningful interactions over the forum.I served for 23 yrs in the army then l quit, settled in Delhi my hometown have served in the J&K valley most of the time, deserts a bit,now i have decided to visit all those places on my bike a ninja 1000.I already visited Udaipur & Mt Abu,the road from Udaipur to base of Mt Abu was terrific encouraging me to exploit my machine.Next time will visit the deserts where we use to carry out practice maneuvers incase of a war with our adversaries, pure desert terrain it is .The aim is to see the places on my bike especially the valley as have never seen or appreciated the beauty of the place as we were looking for the bad guys, now with a different perspective will be able to do justice to the visual epics of the valley.Thats all for now SAFE RIDING TO ALL OF YOUTags: None

Re: atul
Hi thanks for the warm welcome,it certainly is a lovely bike to tour, the nimbleness, ergonomics, when you feel the need to speed it delivers what more can one ask for from a motorcycle, although the real test will come in the harsher terrains of the mountains, although a short trip to Bhimtal from Delhi was devoid of any issues, the road being extremely rider friendly.I plan to do the Chakrata-Mussorie road which seems decent to see how i fare & then the challenging part of Chakrata-Deovan-Mundali,would love to solicit views of our members on the latter route regarding road conditions, time lines, this would be done in mid june, looking forward to hear from you people.
