I was born much later (no bits and peices here) and guess what - in Udupi again. Have been an avid Bullet fan ever since I can remember. My First bike when I turned 18 was a Royal Enfield Bullet 350 cc, Left it at the painter the very second day since I didnt like the postbox red. That was KA20E7222 in 1993
Second one was again a Bullet in 1996, I sold my old one and picked this one up in Goa. Had to sell this one as I was moving to Mumbai and didnt make sense taking her with me.
I decided to buy a CBZ in 1999 - had a crash and never got around to fixing it. Sold it when I was transferred to Bangalore in 2001
I picked up a 1975 Bullet as soon as I landed in Bangalore, sold it in 15 days cos I found a 1961 Bullet. Thats when the love for the older bikes began. Restored this one to perfection and finally decided to try my luck on Ebay. She is right now in Florida with someone who loves and takes care of her very well.
Then came the current love of my life, a 1959 Bullet. She probably is the most complete bike that I have ever build. Eerything about her is original and she has some of the most unique and rare parts. Both after market accessories and optionals offerd by RE then.
In between all this, I did get married, have 2 kids, moved to Gurgaon working for an MNC bank.
I am now a weekend biker as my job requires me to wear clothes not best suited for a motorcycle.
A WagonR and a CityZX later, a Corolla ferries me around but the Biker in me revolts every time I get behind the wheels. Cant do much though.
I b'liv in safe riding and you will never catch me without my helmet. I recently invested on a Scorpion EXO 1000. For long rides, I will wear my riding Jacket. Thanks to my ex-Boss, I wear an Alpinestar RC1.
Now that was a long intro on my bikes, cars, gear and me....time to shut up
