  • Broke 220F rider here. But my riding life's filthy rich!

Please tell me what you think of this embedded video.
Featuring a small 21hp single cylinder 2016 Pulsar 220F, with K&N airfilter, larger 33mm carburetor, fresh Pirelli tyres, raceshift enabled, and suspension tuned, for better cornering.

And, no! I don't have any money to buy a KTM RC. [emoji25][emoji30][emoji58]
I spent my last savings on a GoPro Hero!!

    https://youtu.be/ARL4veEd0ys

    EDIT :

It was totally naive to make my first ever video on a sloped road. So this time, I just stayed on normal roads and did some minimal editing. Hope you like it.

Also, it's hilarious that the footage just so came to be like the "speedbreaker" power from Need For Speed 2004!

Do give me your valuable opinions on the footage.
And, I never intend to make money or spam you, so, my content is absolutely ad free. Forever!
The video speed is in realtime except some slowmo sections.

    Please criticize it. That's all.

And I found posting this kind of thread on our intro section valid, because I just don't have any words pure enough to explain the feeling we all share as riders and racers and tourers alike. So I thought of letting my bike do the talking.
    Even if it's a puny 21 hp machine. #majboori

Thanks and love you #xbhpians! [emoji56]

      Thankyou!!

I am just another person, who's struggling in life to make something out of it. Someone, who had his first ride ever in an old vespa 2stroke before I learnt to ride a simple cycle, and also someone extremely passionate about fast automobiles.

I try to do everything possible to learn as much as i can about racing in particular.

As you can see.. I converted my 220 to raceshift, tuned the suspension so it doesn't move around much, and will be upgrading to a big bore kit and FFE, soon.

      I also own a 1990 KB 100 RTZ, ( search "probably India's youngest KB100" ).

I'm also planning a tribute cum review video for the 220F.
I'll do my best to create awesome automotive content, and support the sport.

      Warm regards,
      Rajdeep Das

Bike is awesome. Small bikes are extremely fun to drive in the city. Hope you get your MIRRORS ASAP.

It's great to see another fellow enthusiast who's sadly in the same weak financial state, but at least you still have the balls to push forward with everything you have. Personally, I think the pulsar 220F is a great motorcycle which quenches the thirst for touring and riding hard while still not being heavy on the pockets. Hope you own bigger and much more badass motorcycles in the long run!
Cheers bro, ride hard, ride safe!

Yeah about the mirrors... I pledged to try not dropping my bike after two big crashes (blind corner, tyres gave away).

So i put on some bar end mirrors to remind me not to go overboard in public roads. I think it won't show in the view unless i find a better mounting position.

It's been less than a week, I got my Gopro.

Yeah brother, that's the plan. Although, personally I hate the 220. It's so bulky and doesn't want to rev as much in higher gears!

Wish you the same bro. Wish you a bigger bike!!!

I just made myself learn to shift really fast and smooth.

Reversing the shift pattern to 1 up 4 down (raceshift pattern) does help in the corners. Less work needed. But you should first be comfortable with rev matching and with clutchless upshifts.

It's nothing extra. Just practice, you'll be shifting like a pro in no time! You can find relevant info on the net regarding the above terms.

I tried clutchless shifting once on my kawa boxer ct, didnt make much difference [emoji23]. Thank god the gearbox is pretty reliable [emoji23][emoji23]

In fast flowing left hand corners, it's safer and easier to press the gear lever down rather than up for upshifts. ( Hence the use of this pattern in races)

Keep practicing clutchless shifting and if you get the chance, convert yours to a race shift, somewhere along the way!

Haha. You'd laugh when I tell you that it took me around 6-8 months to fully master shifting. I didn't have a 220 then. So a "supersplendor" was all i had to practise in bro!
                          🤣🤣[emoji28][emoji25][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Moving to the 220, shifting like that felt natural.
