Story about RoadWanderers - Couple who ride on two different motorcycles
This story is of a girl and a boy, apparently the best friends for life, who have been knotted for life as a couple and who love travelling to different places, particularly in India.
The story is going picture perfect till here. Then comes the twist. How do they travel? The answer is, Motorcycles. Well, individual motorcycles. Now, do not burst your eyeballs, its normal. There is no sexist interpretation in riding and everyone can ride. But actually, its not so simple.
The story started back in 3rd Nov, 2017, when the girl (Sharbani) gifted her husband (Chandrachur) a brand new Thunderbird 350CC (Marine Blue).
This was one of the dream bikes of Chandrachur. The girl was not too sure of the gift as if whether her husband can handle the bike or not. But on that night itself they took a short stroll on the machine and it felt awesome. Slowly life started spinning around the motorcycle.
The first daring step the couple took was on 26th January 2018 – a trip to Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh) with the family (3 more brothers and sisters and their families). But our couple chose the motorcycle this time and with fully geared up. They enjoyed the trip. Experience was completely different.
The smell of the grease, dust and heat along with the Riding gears make the journey completely different than surrounded by Airconditioned atmosphere inside the glass cladded automobile car. Adrenaline rush started taking over comfort zone in minds. The vlogging idea started right from this trip. The video (https://youtu.be/8oueOKOypPo) although not so great one, received good responses from the near and dear ones. The enthusiasm keeps on increasing slowly.
Next tour was to Jaipur and the trip was on plain highways. This time also a short trip. The boy decided not to tell his family about this daring step of travelling by motorcycles as his parents might freak out owing to the elderly age issues. The trip went well. This time the videos came in series (https://youtu.be/OAg9aZEnU3w). But the only problem started is on the pillion. The girl started complaining about back pain and being bore as a pillion.
The boy also felt sometimes discomfort having 2 persons on the bike on long rides. This time they thought of riding on separate bikes. The girl started training under the supervision of the boy. Every night after the office hours, continue the training on the Avenger (the girl`s brother`s bike) for about 1-2 hours. After about 10 days, the confidence came a bit and on one Fine Sunday Morning – the New Journey Started. Rider couple on separate bikes. (https://youtu.be/QJnGXzEDQPk)
Then the journey never stopped. The passion now took over the courage. The boy gifted the brand new Thunderbird 350X roving red from Royal Enfield on her birthday. It was a shocking surprise to the girl. The business became now serious. It was no more limited for city rides/weekend ride within the city. Family members were also not fully welcoming the idea as it raised to the concern of the safety of the couple on the roads. Slowly they convinced and won their confidence.
After a long planning and preparation – the couple went to a long ride to Dharamshala-Mcleodganj-Triund Trip on separate bikes. It was a lovely and thrilling experience cruising on the Himalayas on two separate bikes. The curls, bends, corners in the mountains excites the couple anything more than the monotonous life of the city. The dream came true for the girl. Seeing her machine reach to the Himalayas. The whole trip now came as a full fledged series along with the trailer (https://youtu.be/bGmrIQaUpUI).
The main dream of the couple is to reach to Khardungla on their separate bikes someday and come back safely and with glory back to their home. The journey have just started. All these trips are to test their physique and mental strength of whether they can withstand the harshness of Ladakh.
The next plan was to ride with a group of Proficient riders on a long trip (for 9-10 days) in the himalayas so that they can challenge themselves on the terrain and their stamina to withstand the bike riding for a long tenure. And what could be better than not riding with Royal Enfield and that too for “The Tour of Uttarakhand 2018”. The experience was super cool and this was a ride to be remembered for lifetime. Every stuff of adventure was there whatever the couple have viewed in youtube till date. There were Roads. And some places No Roads at all. There were small as well a huge watercrossings, offroadings, curves, swirls, forest area, scortching heat, cold and what not. The trip taught them from every angle possible. The journey will continue and someday they will reach to Khardungla Top on their separate machines. For every success, you have to come out of your comfort zone. To do something, you have to start somewhere at some point of time. So its better to start now than never. Whatever you feel is life needs to be done in this single life alone. There is no second chance of living it. Its better to try it than rather regret it at some moment when there would be no scope of living it anymore. So, keep riding. Keep Wandering in life. Be safe while riding because some people are waiting back at home to see your smiling faces while coming back from outside and you have no rights to disappoint them.
