        I was a trail rider for nearly 10 years also we were normally spent per ride. It didn't subject to how many we did or how long. ie - Track work can be over and done with in 20 mins (light work for a horse might be: 1 trot lap, Indian Dresses1 pace work lap with a bit of evens) easy money. Or sometimes you can have to go out for road work or beach work and can be out for 45-50 mins per horse. Not as good money. But you just have to do whatever the trainer wants.
