this is wilco here, finally decided to join this beautiful forum... as a formal introduction well.. im an aviation enthusiast hold a commercial pilot's license but currently unemployed courtesy the great "slump" we have on our hands..
for anyone wondering what "WILCO" means--> it is a term used in aviation radio telephony meaning "to agree with"
ok now that im done with the biodata b.s lets proceed to how biking matters to me in my life..i own a honda dio for past 5 years a gear less scooter which has been my loyal companion or as i fondly call my "first wife", it has faced two complete body kit changes courtesy amateur wheelie tries unsafe riding and haywire traffic etiquettes in my home town.
at first i thought i dont qualify to be a part of this forum as i dont have a "bike" but reading through virtually all sections of this forum i realised how people respect biking as a lifestyle and gears or no gears everyone stands welcomed
i respect the safe riding culture inculcated amongst one and all through this forum though sadly i learnt it the hard way during a stupid circuit race on a cbz when i lost my friend at the age of 16 the calamity happened in front of me as he banged into a van.. cause of death - head injury, since then i vowed never to ride without a helmet whatever the speed maybe.
the love for two wheeled beauties started at 13 when i rode as a pillion on my uncles kawasaki 600r thus giving birth to dream of owning a green devil and experience the unadulterated joy it offers
on this forum i found gaziliion kawasaki lovers who treat it with equal respect. the excellent review by sunny and aryan of the new baby ninja filled me with a hart warming feeling of belonging somewhere and i got my self registered in no time... and finally mustered the courage to post my intro here..
earlier i felt i dont do stunts i dont own pulsar or a cbz[my fav indian bike] the only engines i know about is piston engines and jet engines of airplanes so do i belong here?? ... the obvious answer being YES i belong here cos i love to tour on two wheels, love the freedom of a two wheel ride and dream of owning a ninja one day.
so here's wilco signing out ... on a final note i must thank sunny and the mods including rossiter for the discipline in this forum and for keeping the biking standards high.. keep up fellows thank you for reviving in me the love for bikes and for rejuvenating my love for my honda dio amidst the mad rush of my life i had almost forgotten how much she means to me and how much she has served me..
cheerio

wilco

my "wifey" says hi to all the xbhhpians
