What separates the biker from a commuter who considers the bike as a machine to go to office and back home?
I think this topic is an open to discussion as what brand of jeans would you like to wear. It is entirely personal. However, one thing that will not change between various people, ranging from those who consider this topic as a blasphemy to discuss in an environment claiming to be the sanctum of a large majority of Enthusiasts to those who will be offended by the declaration that only using a bike to go to office and back is a sheer act of ignorance to the bliss of riding, is that biking is truly something that is integral part of our lives.
I've always asked myself a question: How does one decide if they are biker. There are a million definitions revolving around "love bikes". But to me, that is simply fanboyism and not really a definition. I read around the forums, blogs, chatted with people (a rare feat for me) and noted that indeed, true bikers refrain from a defining their need for the wheels, but simply obtain it. A real biker will never parade around shouting "ZOMG! BIKES ARE AWESOME! YOU SHOULD RIDE THEM!", but will keep returning to them no matter the cost.
But the human world is incomplete without definitions. So I still wonder, who is a biker. I think one way to describe him is just like describing a human.
"A biker is simply one who rides a bike and adapts to it."
Yes, I like that. Takes away the love and what not, but highlights the most important aspect - Bond. No matter what bike he is given, a biker will understand it and adapt to it. He does not love one motorcycle. He loves motorcycle.
Which brings me back to my original question. What is a biker's passion. What drives him forward?
I have an answer, like everyone and like no one. I am not a religious guy, however, I believe that there is a force that guides every individual. Only that matters is finding your own force. Biker have once common force, I believe, and in modern religious term its unholy. A Biker is greedy as he always wants bikes and the thrill that he gets from them. The desires for more speed, more distance or what ever drives him will corrupt him. The worst part, religion would say, is that he will pray for his fantasies to come true.
All that a biker wants, like gamers and almost every other human, is have unholy prayers answered.

Currently bike-less (Had a major accident in which the bike was totaled and I was unconscious for 3-4 days). But am scouting for a bike. =,=
Love riding, gaming and photography, suck at stunts and have a dream of riding to Leh. Hopefully.
So that about it.
