A big thank you to everyone who has read the April issue and have such good words to say for the effort put into bringing it up.
Thanks for the good words. Glad that you've liked what you've got in the mag. Makes the effort worth its while.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View PostAnother great issue from the xbhp where pics and content go hand in hand along with the best quality of printing. Rightly said 200 pages of NO BULLSHIT.
The section on the vision and motorcycling is simply superb and the guide to Leh is a boon for many motorcyclists as many of us considers it as the holy pilgrimage to BIKING. I would personally like to congratulate Avinash Noronha for the daring ride.
While using the technique for checking the dominant eye I am getting some anomalies....
After stretching my overlapped hands and creating an opening to see an object I see two different objects. When I focus both my eyes on the left object I can see it with my right eye closed and when I focus my both eyes on the right object I can see it with my left eye closed.
So I am not able to figure out which is my dominant eye. Kindly Help
As for your 'Vision' related query, when you look at the distant object through the aperture created with your hands, look at the distant object and not past it as you are doing and so seeing two different objects as a result of the natural parallax effect. To make things easier, look at a distant landmark that stands against an uncluttered background - for eg. a lone tree, a cell-phone tower, a distant building etc. And concentrate on the object you are seeing. If you let your vision drift beyond it, then you will see two objects instead of one.
Oops! yes. Printing errors.Other than this there are a couple of printing errors which I have found till now like abrupt ending of sentences on Pg nos. 101 under the heading Tracking or Visual Pursuit last line and Pg no 104 last line.
As an addendum, the missing words are marked in red here:
the last sentence on page 101 reads as:
Any faster than ~70 deg/sec and the brain would not be able to produce a 3D stereoscopic image that gives us depth perception.
and the last four words on page 104 are:
giving you precious advance warning.
Thanks for the appreciation. The green-day must have been a good experience for you all Ninja owners.Originally posted by harikeshpk View Postgot the issue today from trivandrum(spencers store at vellayambalam). was very happy to see our pictures and write up on the green day 2011. leh guide is for keeps. i may have to scan the same and put away on my lappie. really a wonderful 4th issue.

VFM Mag !
Got the much awaited mag from crossword, Hiranandani-Powai 2 days back. And the first impression was awesome .... All the graphics were top notch as promised ... now regarding the content I am yet to go through them in detail .... just skimmed through the LEH guide, Maha Tour, Community section and liked every bit of it ... The magazine is worth every paisa and highly recommended for bikers !
Another surprising thing was spotting many copies of this magazine on a book stall in one of the FoodPlazas on Mumbai-Pune expressway yesterday ... Good to see xBhp-Mag going places (literally)

Hi i am a new member n am sharin my feelins bout the current issue.
1. Totally agree n identify with Praveer Kochar, bikin in india is awesome, just stick to the food n stay away from religion! Old Fox has expressed every bikers sentiments, thanks for puttin the feelins into words.
2. The Maharashtra ride was very useful n the "Guide to gettin leh'd" was the best of this issue. I do feel that North India is given too much space, hope to c more of the south, eastern coast n the north-east given some attention as well.
3. Overall look n feel of the mag is top notch n better than d older players in this business. Grammar n language has scope for improvement though.
4. Please dont compare xbhp to other mags in every issue, u dont need to, coz xbhp has built a niche for themselves in this very short time of 4 issues.
5. This mag is not only attractiv for bikers, but also for all those ppl who have never experienced the thrill of motorcycling. So kudos to the team for this.
6. A challeng in d future will be to get the mag out on the stands in time (judgin from most of the posts in this thread!)
7. And finally a round of applause to the Holy Quadrinity for coming out with another masterpiece. Hope the mag gets the financial backing from corporates; since in this day n age even the best mag cannot survive on love n fresh air alone!
Note- On the first page at the top Sundeep Gajjar is the Editor, but at the end of the list on the same page Praveer Kochhar is given the title of Editor. Pls clarify.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

Thanks for the kind words. And also for making your first post on xBhp in such detail.
Well yes it does take a lot to get everything on time and to maintain a certain benchmark you set. And I feel its even more important for us because we are creating something for the connoisseurs rather than for the general public. So we will try our best and keep up the love of biking reflect in everything we do.
On your note on the title of the Editor. Well Sundeep Gajjar is the Editor of the magazine and my name is there only because of some legal holdup that we are clearing up with the authorities. Apparently in the world of magazines typos are not only restricted to what you print
Do keep sharing what you feel. Its encouraging and at the same time challenging.
