    Ditto.Stop the crap.

As for me I am least interested in being a keyboard warrior and increasing post count/preaching/trying to be a grandpa.I dont sit at home and enjoy typing on keyboard. And I dont have to prove it to you/anyone

Frankly I have seen brain matter busted and being dragged on road.Participating in internet forum/attending GTGs doesnt save you from it.Safety and rules do go a long way.Anyways I had to speak coz rest of the junta are playing a blind eye to it.
Drinking and riding isnt cool at all neither is attending/participating in such GTGs.

For most of riders bikes and riding are like worshipping. They would never step onto a saddle drunk like a devotee would never enter a place of worship ineberated.

I am out of the thread and the section for good.Enjoy

      Thanks!

Atleast we know someone cares for us!

And it aint cool to type and increase post counts. Neither am i here to do that. I guess you know how i am too.

We are all responsible for our actions and we are answerable only to ourselves and nobody else.
Telling us once is fine but keeping on pestering with the same thing over and over is irritating. So thanks for keeping out of these kind of threads.

Wow, Big day! Or should I say night! I just dropped in to say I am repenting as much for not joining you on the ride yesterday! I was in some crap at home upto my eyeballs and we had a crisis (let's not get into details), and I had to donate my simcard to mom. So if anybody tried to call me/mesage me and I could not reply back, I APOLOGISE Especially to Chetan. Sorry dude!!!

Waiting for a much longer trip log/ some funny conversations/pics...anyone?

@All: This is a proper thread to discuss anything related to what happened and what could have happened at yesterday's Dhaba G2G and going back home after that. So preaching about no-drinking/riding and defending it HAS to be discussed here !!!

Darth: I completely agree with you man.... drinking + riding/driving never go together... you have given enough gyaan... and as of what am deciding, am into full no-no for a daaru G2G next time. Period !!
Btw... am a complete non-drinker.... responsibility comes first... drinking makes you horribly irresponsible.

Anup: Sorry dude.... I know you can control yourself even when you are many pegs down, but come on man, what darth is saying makes sense, the juniors with us really take everything for granted and might hell go down with something sad someday. I have seen this while we go on twists and newbies try to imitate us.... remember you said "saala why did he go fast in that turn when he cannot make it??" when neutrino had a crash. Its the same thing.
Am sorry to see and say this, but you really sound careless with your recent posts. No offences meant dude .

@Marcus: Chalta hai man.... next time

@darth; Appreciate your concern over this issue. Thanks for standing by it.
@anup: I have nothing against anyone here and I just want the betterment of the club. We should definitely not set any kind of precedence as far as drinking is concerned, and we certainly should not try to justify it at any level (be it even legal limits), specially when we are on a ride. I hope you will take this in a positive way and look at Darth and me as ambassadors of peace with goodwill for the club rather than preachers looking for appreciation.

Lets now leave this issue behind and resolve that such kind of thing does not happen in the future.

Again i would like to repeat one statement made earlier: "No one but oneself is responsible for his/her actions"
I personally keep it low when it comes to riding back somewhere. However drink to glory if i have a place to crash.

Chalo whatever i guess nobody i mean nobody has to interfere in between my conversation with darth. We have an equation of understanding between us. So dont bother trying to play daddy anywhere.

                Chetan: its cool man.

Bobby: Who knows me better than this Fuc@#. Been drinking and riding bikes with him even before Xbhp was born. Sala missed a Dhaba G2G

Very bad with the name of drinks so can't even differentiate between hard and soft drink. But yes drinking and driving never go together.I think a similar topic was raised before and it was decided that drinking if at all will be done in case of night stay's and that too in such a way that it doesn't affect a rider the next day.The same rule should be followed w.r.t any official xBhp G2G's.

                  @Anup-What you mention is correct
"No one but oneself is responsible for his/her actions"
.But in group rides you shouldn't be doing anything that might provoke others to imitate you.

                    @ All,
I don't drink alocohol, but I have been on many such G2Gs and Dhaba hunts with this gang. I can vouch for there concern towards the safety. They always drink little when they need to ride back home w/o a proper break. I remember Kashid and Velneshwar nightstay G2Gs, even recent Gorai night out, I saw them getting drunk through the night coz we had hours for having a proper rest and then ride.

After all this things have become a part of Metropolitian lifestyle. work hard though the week and enjoy the week end.
But atleast these guys are staying within their individual limits and even take care of others.
So let each person decide for himself and as far as G2Gs are concerned if you can't add 135 & 257, then u are a pillion.

                      Trip Log

                      What a G2G!! Simply awesome.
Ride to the dhaba was good, food was good, I was damn hungry so nething would have tasted good; don’t know about the booze as I don’t drink.

Neway after Chetan, Sumit, Shiva, Santosh and Shadab left for home, we 5 guys were left at the dhaba.

Me (Ashish), Rossi (Vikam), Razor (Gopi), Anup and motorbreath (Swapnil).
These guys ordered some more Butter chicken and delicious “looking” butter rotis.

We were discussing lot of topics, having fun and nobody wanted to go home and chill out for the whole night.
Then we decided to ride to Malshej ghat and spend the night over there. 5 KMs after leaving the dhaba, I stopped at another dhaba to confirm the route, actually “ask” as I had some idea about it. BTW We were riding towards Nashik not back to kalyan and then to Malshej.

                      Motorbreath: P200
                      MeIsRossi: P180 UG3

There, I thought of riding to Shirdi as I wanted to ride there since long time. Everyone got convinced except Anup as he had a call from his mom. He left for home and rode towards Nashik in search of a petrol pump with Credit Card machine in working condition. Found one, at 26 Km, after trying few, filled up the stomachs of our darlings with the best kind of booze, using Gopi’s CC. Then the actual ride started.

We kept changing the formation positions, keeping Gopi in middle or at front as his mobile’s battery was discharged.

Took a break just b4 Kasara Ghat for 5 mins. Rode through awesome Kasara ghat and ahead till 20 KMs b4 Nashik for another break.

Road to shirdi from Nashik is really awesome. A superb flyover at the start, then farms on sides, little villages passing by and esp. full of light corners. We were cruising at 90-95 KMPH. Could have been higher but, I was riding P150 so decided not to.

For most of the time I was leading with Rossi behind me. I remember him telling that he was just following my tail lamp as it was still dark. Once there was a dip, smooth road just going downwards like bowl; suddenly, in the road and I took it, and Rossi was
“Oh my god! Ashish khadde me gir gaya?” as my tail lamp vanished in it.

Guys, we really enjoyed that 80 Km road.

Again, at 40 KMS b4 Shirdi we took a tea break, at 6 am. Since this was ride wasn’t preplanned, only Motorbreath was wearing his DSG jacket and others were with just T-shirts.
We were shivering so much that I had to actually pay attention to bring the cup towards my mouth only. Literally, I could see concentric waves in the cup due the shivering.

But we rode ahead, reached Shirdi, hired a shabby looking small cabinet as a “Locker” to keep Moto’s jacket and our phones in it as no electronic devices were allowed inside the temple. Got freshened up a bit and went to the temple. We were out in just 15 mins, that was quick. Then we had some breakfast and soon we were rolling again.

But now it was different as there were lot more cars, cattle, cycles, few dead dogs, tractors etc., on that narrow road and those “Licensed To Kill” S.T. drivers were charging on us.
But we kept riding and, with 4-5 breaks for Petrol and Water, reached Thane by 2:35 pm.

Superb ride, and we completed it in spite of many small problems viz., we didn’t have proper clothing and gear, very less cash, I and Gopi were riding with nil grip tyres, Moto was riding a bunch of problems with a little bit of P200 lost inside, only I had 60 W headlight while Rossi's h/l was aiming for stars and he wanted to sh*t since we left the dhaba etc. Yet we managed to reach shirdi and ride back.

The major credit for the success of this trip goes to that one note of one thousand rupee I found, hidden, in my wallet. Yeah, Gopi? Some petrol, food, Rent for the locker, mineral water, etc, all came from it.
I was just about to cancel the ride coz, I think Rossi had 150 bucks, Moto had 250 and Gopi had 200 and we weren’t able to find a Petrol pump with CC machine. How’s that?

Anyway, amazing thing was that even after riding for about 500 KMs none of us had any muscle pains. Of course we were tired, but that’s it.

I think this is a crash free ride after quite a some time, am I right?

All photos were clicked using my 2 MP mobile cam.

At PP where Rossi filled 2 litres, at 2 am

The tea break, B4 Shirdi at 6 am. Vistaboy, Rossi, Motorbreath, Razorblade

                      Outside Shirdi, at 10 am

At Nashik, Drink-water break at 10:50 am

Rozor's gloves on his RTR's grab rails. awesome view of a vally from this place. Just b4 Kasara ghat, drinks break at 12:10 pm

Ahead of Kasara ghat, towards Mumbai at 1:40 pm

Wow, I thought I was only missing a Dhaaba meal - and you guys end up in Shirdi .

I reached Mahabaleshwar at 3:30 AM Sunday after Anoop and I left you guys at Eternity mall at 9 PM Saturday.

We took a lot of breaks and I made sure Anoop would have to slow down to my conservative speed of 70-75 KMPH.

The mountain view at 3 AM was awesome and the stars lit up like a display of Diwali decorations.

The hotels have a check out time there at 9 AM so all those hotels had their offices closed at that hour.

Finally at 5 AM we woke one guy up and he said that we could stay till check out time of 9 AM.

So we paid Rs 350 for a room for 5 hours - 5 AM to 10 AM

We checked out the market but since this was an unplanned long ride, neither of us had the Cramster bags to do shopping.

So we clicked photos on mobile phone instead and after famous breakfast of Mahabaleshwar strawberry cream we left at 11:30 AM for Mumbai.

With another brunch and then lunch at Lonavala we reached Mumbai at 5 PM via the same Vashi bridge we had taken earlier.

Largely nobody drank much the only reason being the Adulterated drink.

That is why you should carry your own maal instead of depending on dhaabas for booze.

Yes, drinking and driving is dangerous but I am sure they drank first, ate a long meal and spent enough hours digesting the damn stuff before riding.

Anyways who the hell has the money to down 11 bottles of booze here (don't know who suggested 1 bottle can become 11 - that's stupid and ridiculous )

Anoop (solo rider - not member of any club/ group) and I were doing a long ride with no sleep so of course we opted out of drinking booze.

But it was damn chilling cold at Mahabaleshwar and surely there are benefits of whiskey that we didn't make use of.

ANYWAYS - I BELIEVE THOSE WHO WERE NOT THERE AT THE RIDE TO WITNESS THE GOINGS ON HAVE NO GROUNDS TO JUDGE THESE PARTICIPANTS BEHAVIOUR -

---Guru Gyan is good - but you are not "Antaryaami" - so unless you have seen them drunk and stoned - don't argue shite without any common sense
