The colourful kids were at their best behavior, can't say the same about the grown-ups though !
Commander Sunil lead the youth batallion wtih clockwork precision aided by Shiv, Raju and close family members.
Sree's a good motographer and gave me a lowdown on the 883s.
I would be happy if i could relate to 10% of what Nelson was talking about photography;he sure knows his lenses !
Sumit's touring experience is extensive & vivid, his enthusiastic better half is the icing on the cake !(ahem......black icing nahin sir
)
I had a wonderful time - thanks to all you guys for making this outing a success
(PS: putting up my semi-nude pics would cause flooding of your inbox by requests from multiple women about my info - so i believe you will make the right decision

Couldn't make it because of a ceremony in the family. Kept thinking how it'd be like to have been there. And also couldn't help out Sunil when he said he was short on help.. Sorry Sunil
Keep the pics coming guys.
PS: Sumit, nice to see you in a ride again.

No Issues Akhil, but we surely missed you guys& You guys missed a good opportunity
Guys we had a great time, 25 kids & 20 adults joined us.
We left R.T nagar at 6:30 AM, regrouped at Kanakkapura Metro at 7:30 AM.
Waited for Breakfast to get ready at Idle Mane on the way to kanakapura road,
the Thatte Idle, red chatni & Sagu is Awesome, packed 50 Plates (2 each)
We later reached a lake had breakfast & did some off roading / water wading
with kids, as usual managed to get my Gurkha Stuck, was trying to see if it
will crawl in Slush !! if it did wanted to demo the auto crawl across the
lake !! thankfully it didn't & Gypsy couldn't pull it out but the Might )m 616
did.
We reached the reached the base by Noon, it was scorching hot, Sonata did its
first share of offrading. it cam in almost 2 kms of jeep trail !!! WoW ...
We went up, had food, kids danced & Sung songs, was really nice to share the
joy, later we went further up till the summit, but was very hot so returned to
the base, relaxed at the temple, had some juice & snack, people who had come
paid there contributions & we left for Bangalore.
All the off roading had its toll on the sonata, its front left got flat, so
called in the Gurkha, used the exhaust air jack, (not very useful, or we don't know how to use!) then put Manuel jack replace Tyre, thankfully we had twin piston air compressor too.

@Sri - waiting for your new bikes photo G2G as planned.
Al-tough ,member since 2006 and done around 4-5 rides back in 2006-2007 I am coming back after 3 years gap and what a G2G we had .At one point I was very moved by seeing the small girls specially when they were singing and dancing. I must say they are very disciplined and are also in god hands.
While coming back I enjoyed the entire journey cheering and playing with the kids since I was in the bike and they were in open hooded Jeepsy. I was making faces at them and they were returning it back. The smallest one and also cutest was also the naughtiest one
- will upload the pics soon. While leaving they were asking us to come with them.

Thank you Sunil for organising such a lovely meet. Here is the full details...
It was previous day night and I was still not sure about my trip. My second son was not keeping well. I thought of waking up in the morning to decide. At 5:45 am, I saw that he was better and my wife assured that all is well
. I messaged Sunil at 6 am that I would be joining the ride and immediately I got the reply back with a welcome.
Started from my home at 6:15 am and reached Metro at 6:45. Met Sanjoy for the first time as he was enjoying the heat coming from his warm engine. Sumit joined with his wife and the convoy of children arrived in Gurkha, Gypsy and Trax. That was my first encounter of Gurkha. Had never seen it before and I can call it a mini Hummer. We continued our journey till idli mane, where we packed our breakfast and proceeded towards a lake 3 kms from there. By the looks of the place, I thought that Sunil is going to do something crazy and it started happening. These snaps would explain better:
Children were fully enjoying the fun and the unexpected just happened. Gurkha as stuck deep in the slush...
Gypsy was called in to pull it out. Errrr, can it pull???
Now, the Gypsy is also stuck.
The big boy Trax (from Mercedez
) was called and it pulled the Gypsy with ease. Pulling the Gurkha was tricky as it was stuck deep. Dhruv was very helpful in this process giving some entertainment with his 2-piece
. With some hiccups, Gurkha was finally in safe zone.
Without much break, we proceeded towards our final destination.
We stopped at a temple, so that children can freshen up. Our off roading starts from this temple and the ride was very exiting.
We were briefly lost and discovered another beautiful temple
It was a bit scary in between with elephants leaving their trails all over the place. Some of them were fresh
. We reached our final destination and our cameras started clicking and we started enjoying the company of children along with some nice packed thatte idlis.
Finally, did some macro too
We started our journey back to Bangalore with a big satisfaction in our hearts.
Thank you everyone for making such a memorable trip. Hats off to Sunil.
May God give those children all the happiness.

I missed Thanks Druv earlier as he brought his indica from banshankari to R.T Nagar so early in the morning & later put it back home & joined us in his Uni. His Swim Suter near the lake was pretty & so was the shake dance on the top
