My observations
Hi All,
Some of my observations from the G2G.
1. RTR gets is nose ahead of the R15 a lill in the first two gears but the R15 comes into its own league from the 3rd gear onwards.
2. P220 beating the R15 comfortably in the drags even with a worn out tyre
3. The R15 comes with a very sticky tyre. Seen that in the Doctor's burnout.
4. The R15 handles like a dream and has got killer looks. Yes, that was the first time I got into physical contact with an R15.
5. All said, the Honda is the smoothest and the most sober of the bikes - Yachint's Unicorn.
6. The RTR is screamingly and vibratingly HOT and when it is revving ppl around get to know it
7. Thank god, everyone was trying out wheelies and stoppies - first tries for a few and yet we didn't had any major mishap. Choudary's stunt scared the s**t of us and thank god minimal damage to the bike and whatz definetly worth appreciating is the sportive attitude in which the rider handled it. M sure, anyone else wud have been scared, shivering and sad about it. Hats off to U choudary ji
8. The RE Bullet is a Mans bike. Yes, I have exchanged my KB with a friend of mine for a few days and m loving the thumper. Its shape, weight, the thump hmmmmm so very different. Usually on my bike, sometimes I used to get jealous when some of the new bikes used to whiz past me but with me on the Bullet, I was least bothered about what speeds or angles others were doing.
9. We initially planned just a breakfast G2G but gave in to the temptation of a Drag without any preplanning. So yes, some times the unplanned events are more fruitful than a well planned one
10. Later on at the hospital, we discussed on various topics and it gives us more reasons to rider safer for ourselves and the other users on the road.
So when do we have the next G2G?

R15 vs UNI

uni is getting scared

The unicorn looks like pikachu and R15 like Raichu! :P
Kriss, very good job mate, I thought the drag would be canceled but it went on. Kudos man! So my idea of a surprise drag did work!
I wanted Sam to have a drag meet as his last and more badly, i wanted to see how the R15 fares against the big pulsar family.
Lovely pics but one sincere suggestion, PLEASE RESIZE THE IMAGES TO 640X480 RESOLUTION AND POST!
Wonderful! So you say the R15's initial is even more sluggish than the RTR's? Did you guys try swapping bikes, riders? I go agree on the looks and finish part of the R15, Yamaha has a winner there. I hope someone has a video of the 220 vs. R15 drag. Lolz, hint hint! The drag idea was supposed to be a surprise that I along with kriss planned out. Can you please elaborate about what happened to chpudary and his bike? Are they both ok? And why did you guys visit the hospital?Originally posted by yaser_cyclist View PostHi All,

No timings
No Sagar - there werent any timings.
Yes, me and Sam dragged on the RTR and R15 and repeated it by swapping the bikes and the results were the same, R15 lagged a bit in the first two gears but then pulled off once into the 3rd.
Choudary and his bike are fine. Nothing to the rider, just a lill replacements needed for the bike, nothing major.
We had been to the hospital to see someone who was in need of blood.

@sagar ----yeah man .. as yaser bhai and i had the same launching style and we were both equal in competition .. it exactly proved that RTR is a monster till 2nd gear 10k .. after that ...the moment you shift to 3rd gear ..no matter if i am riding it or yaser bhai the R15 was overtaking RTR ..Last edited by sam92; 10-29-2008, 02:00 AM.FACEBOOK

smooth uni
All said, the Unicorn is a lovely bike in its own sense. Its a different thing that it mite not have been exactly designed to be ripped but its smoothness is unmatched. It has a pretty decent top end and it takes its own sweet time to reach there.
I feel that its pretty much restricted by the manufacturer himself to give it the smoothness and reliability. I don't think I would be wrong if I compare it with a Santro. Those addicted to it will not ride any other thing. I have a cpl of colleagues who have been riding the Uni for like 3 yrs and have hardly spent anything on the maintainence and the bikes are still pretty much as smooth as they were on their day 1. I am sure the same wouldn't apply to any of the pulsars or any of the other bikes.Fast and Safe

that is how reliable honda engines are. You take the unicorn or the best example, the honda city. They have awesome engines. Honda engines are the most reliable, smooth and refined. They can be modded to the max too. But afaik, no other company like the kawa, suzuki, yam, can match the pure refinement and long durability of the hondas.Originally posted by yaser_cyclist View PostAll said, the Unicorn is a lovely bike in its own sense.
