Thanks for the effort. Will let you know by tomorrow if we need to book a hotel.

        • Heared about "Motion Induced Blindness"??

          Motion Induced Blindness

Armed forces pilots are taught about motion induced blindness during training, because it happens faster at high speeds; and to some extent it is applicable to car drivers also, especially the fast ones. So, if
you drive a car, please read this carefully.

          • Whoa!!! How come we were never told about this in the "Ride Safe" sections? And it hardly takes a few seconds to lose the yellow dots from your sight!! Thats awfully dangerous!!
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

            • Really vital piece of information Ramesh!!
Also what explains this phenomenon is Troxler's fading...Simply put, if you fixate on a single point, stimuli nearby will fade and possibly disappear from visual perception. For example if you put something on your palm and keep your palm still, you can feel it for a few seconds after that the sensation will slowly fade making you feel the object is not really present, but if you move your palm you can feel the object again.
That's why it is recommended not to fixate on one point and keep moving your eyes and head continuously while riding.

                  • Ramesh - IMHO, 2-3 days is not sufficient, may be yes for a single place like Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur or Mt Abu. But can't combine them.

                    If I may suggest...
                    Day 1 - Ride from Udaipur - Nathdwara - Sirohi - Jodhpur - Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Day 2 - Go to Khuldara, Sam dunes
Day 3 - Ride back; if you want a day long ride, start like 4:00 AM from Jaisalmer - Bikaner - Jaipur - Kishangarh - Chittorgarh - Udaipur

@ Ganesh - I had taken enough leave in the past and also planning in for a week trip to down south & again a trip to Chennai in June for a week. hence was stingy on the number of days...but will be fine for additional one or two days
