    Guys,
Sambhar lake is known for its salt production. Salt is taken from the source place and put in trains and drained downhill, where trucks carry them to factories for further processing.

The trip was successful. I reached Dudu 10 minutes before the specified time, from where we travelled together about 40 kms more to reach Sambhar lake.

We rode our bikes on abandoned train tracks,
travelled on train tracks on foot,
    clicked snaps on stuff around,
collected large salt crystals as souvenirs,
moved away from tracks when a train appeared at a speed of 10 kmph,
saw the train engineer staring at us,
concluded that the diesel engine had 6 cylinders,
handled a matter of wink-accuse by an old man,
wandered around to find another road route, instead of the rail route,
rode our bike on horizon-ending salt and sand plains,
wetted our shoes in the lake,
rode & balanced our bikes in the sands as if they were sinking ships,
    had tea at a dhaba,
gave biscuits to a friendly squirrel while having tea ourselves,
returned back to our cities with good memories,

There were bad points too about the trip:

Firstly, the roads were so bad that I almost got impotent. Almost, not actually ok? But it is a common issue in India. Moreover, the shining sun had bad effects on my sensitive skin.

An old man got mad and accused Devvrat of winking at him. Devvrat didn't actually wink, I think. Probably the oldie was drunk. We laughed, while devvrat had a tough time explaining. Sorry devvrat bro, couldn't resist.

Later on, a small drop due to side stand sinking into the wet mud, resulted in minor scratches on the new CBR. A Sad event. Some scratches of it can be cleaned using cleaners, others can't.

In all, it was a very strange and funny kind of a trip. A one of a kind trip with good, bad and funny points... I think we enjoyed every bit of the exposure. Here are the pics:

    Our bikes:

Rail bridge with narrow guage tracks for the salt train:

    The three of us:

DJ bro trying out the Rail trolley. And I copied a Dialogue from the film Dabangg which was "DJ bhai, Smile!":

    Salt crystals laid out everywhere:

    Friendly chat on the tracks:

Look at the train driver, I swear he was thinking we have come for suicide:

The 6 Cylinder Diesel engine (atleast we think so):

    Engineer's Cabin:

A salt crystal on the salt train's engine:

This is where salt train is emptied downhill:

The "Sambhar Lake" Public Station was below the Salt Train Tracks:

    CBR 250R:

Guys, Congratulate DJ bro on his latest possession:

Sand n' Salt Flats, reminding me of Bonneville Salt Flats of the US, but very slippery:

An unfortunate drop of the CBR due to side stand sinking into the wet ground:

Good times, great memories, full reliability and no problems. Thank you my dear Pulsar:

A cute squirrel taking a biscuit from me to eat, when we stopped for tea. Events like this never happened in cities to me... I had to wander around to see such a thing. I even recorded a video:

Thanks bro. All these pics edited in MS Paint, without using Adobe Motoshop err.. Photoshop.

Alwar would be fine. But try waiting for few weeks, so that I could join too... The past 2 Sundays I went to Jaipur and Sambhar lake... So, have some commitments pending. Looking forward to see Ram bro too on the next G2G...

EDIT: Devvrat, when we are going for Alwar (just 150 kms from Delhi), why not visit Delhi itself to see Auto Expo 2012? We will see our future and future's machines there and meet some Xbhp Delhi members... If we go together we can manage an overnight stay too. From Jaipur its 275 kms, and Ajmer about 400 kms.
