Hi
I am planning to do a short weekend ride to Rajasthan from Kanpur. Currently I have zeroed in on Bharatpur for want of a better place.
I am looking for a nice place to visit, with some natural beauty, opportunity to walk, cycle (rented) etc. But it should not be too far away from Agra, as Kanpur is already 300 kms from Agra, I wouldn't want to be riding too much more. I will also be having a female pillion (her first ride), so it should be reasonably safe with proper accommodation. I was thinking Sambhar Lake, but that would be too far away.
So if anybody can give me any suggestions, I would be very grateful.
Thanks
Ps- Dates are 3rd 4th march. How cold or hot would it be?Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city

You have zeroed on to a nice place..it would definitely satisfy all your requirements. Its a quiet and safe place with some very nice hotels to stay. Suggest you to pre book a room, though its the end of the tourist season but you never know.
Weather here now a days is any one's guess!
but generally days would be hot (carry a lot of water if you are venturing out during the daytime) and nights cold (you need to carry warm clothes, it could get really cold sometimes).

The thing is that I have been to Bharatpur. I know its nice and I don't mind going there again. But I was wondering if there is some other place not too far away. Thus the query. If not Bharatpur Zindabaad

IMO it is always better to take female pillion to a place where you have already been, specially on her first ride. Small things like where to stop for food en route become a task!!

oh...march has almost come and guess you would be free from now onOriginally posted by Samarth 619 View PostI couldn't go for the marriage. Really regret it man, marriage wasn't supposed to be missed.
All a result of poor planning and studies pressure. Sorry Devvrat bro...
Again, I'll have to go for Block Teaching (handling a full school's administration for 5 days). After that, Ist and IInd mid term exams are there... Again, can't ride all this time upto March.
Pathetic condition I'm in. Just a ride to college & back, is all I have to be satisfied with.

No, Free only upto 4th March Sunday. 5th is back to college, and the same old story... unit tests, exam form fillup and diaries submission.Originally posted by jeyessh View Postoh...march has almost come and guess you would be free from now on
@ Ram, DJ, Devvrat: Guys, if you wish to ride to Ajmer like Ram bro suggested, do it any day before 4th March. Won't be free enough after that. And on 4th, I'm coming to Jaipur. Will meet you guys, have a G2G, and let's see...

Yeah, I'm in. But I was hoping for a closer place since it is about 550 kms/ day for me, and preferably a place where we can ride & corner hard... and improve our riding skills. Some deserted road kind of...
Anyways if the plan doesn't change, I should reach Jaipur by 8 AM morning I think. May need a 20 minutes break after reaching Jaipur. Kind of a long journey for me... Some 550 kms.
Never did so long in one day.

Although, for GODS members, its half the distance, that too on bikes ten times more powerful than mine.
BTW What happened to your Ajmer plan? I had planned a nice road to do some leaning, etc. but you didn't come...
