Artone: i dont remember who..but if he is p200 silver wala...he himself considers himself to be a newbie and lacks confidence in himself..no comments he will chicken out himelf...giving the above excuse

There are 2 rann of kutch one in nani/little rann of kutch and the other is mota/rann of kutch these are 2 different places...little rann is around about 120kms from Ahemadabad and rann of kutch is around about 300kms away from Ahm'd....

Now anybody who is confused...let me tell you that we are riding to Little Rann of Kutch....

Let me post some details for you

Friday November 14, 2008: The riders gather at Fountain hotel by 5:00 am sharp. Please dont delay.
Ride to ahemdabad is 551 kms (Source:Road Distance - Mumbai| Road Distance Between in Kilometers (Kms).)

We need to reach Ahmdabad by the end of the day...party there....drink and eat as much as you want and sleep by 10 pm...

The roads are good..however till vadodara..after that the roads are a bit in a mess and after dark the headlamps are of no use...so we need to reach ahm'd by evening ..by hook or crook.

To get up early in the morning on Saturday by 5 am.
Ride another 120 kms to Dasada the exotic Little Rann of Kutch and pose with our bikes and selves...and check on some wild ass (i mean animal)

from darthlucifer directories: (The route taken was ringroad at amdavad-viramgam-bike towards dasada-take a turn for kharaghoda(its not there in eicher map...but it is there....there a board which will tell you where to turn left)-Patadi-Karaghoda). Somebody get this printed!

from kutch calling 2 directories 60kmph: ( The Little Rann is roughly between Amdavad and Gandhidham and the route followed for this ride was via Dhrangadhra - Halvad - Tikar - Little Rann - Kuda Village - Varnu and back. The Rann is actually a sea-bed that is dried up. In monsoons, most parts of the Rann get filled with sea water. In the summer, the water receeds, the soil hardens and thus bikes can travel through it).

If budget permits we stay back at the wild life resort there..
I will (rather everybody) find some more info about other activities to do in Little Rann of Kuch....probably a sanctuary or forts or palace or anything...(and let me know/post here)

Or, we proceed back to either Ahmedabad or some other location and enjoy a hearty meal..and back to bed...

Sunday leave early morning and ride back home...


Essentials to carry: carry Sweater as it might get colder in the night...cary an extra pair of shorts/t-shirts to sleep in...mosquitos are in pleanty and they love mumbai blood..so they suck a lot...odomos somebody r repellent....
MOST IMPORTANT...CARRY PLEANTY OF WATER...IN GUJRAT...EVEN MINERAL WATER IS A BIT SALTY...
CARRY ELECTRAL OR GATORATE TO KEEP DEHYDRATED...

PEOPLE CARRYING A SHOULDER BAG/ try and get a tank bag or even better if you get a bungee cord to strap it on to the bike...
SOMEONE HAS TO GET A COMPASS REGULAR ONE NOT GPS ....WE NEED IT SO WHOEVER HAS ONE PLEASE LEND IT OR GET IT ALONG.....

Cost: apart from fuel cost...carry another 1500 rs to survive....water will eat up more money than food.. Hence carry some food from home to save...like chips and water(one bottle)...carry some buiscuits...

I guess this info will help....

haha so motor is awake....dude u tell me how many rides have u participated in...i mean 300+kms...i can come for short rides but it aint fun...as its over in a day....join us for long rides..then u can say that u did some biking...just meeting xbhp members in garage and dhaba and lonavala, lavasa is not riding...

come to GOA, Come to Little Rann, Next in Dec....coming up is Humpi...and then the big one is AGRA (TAJ MAHAL)...so get set...
and u got time...Nov 14 is the date for RANN..i can build a new bike by then...u cant repair ur bike...excuses are given by losers..and u are not one of them as far as i know....come on in man and make sure u come for this ride....

The main reason i cant b a part of this ride....is due to the fact that i wud b in delhi at that time till 24th Nov.....

ya retirement ke baaad i will consentrate on my family then...(post december)...mom insisting on me getting married next yr...

very good points about water .. scarry but a fact. some ppl have allergires to that water (i call it boring ka paani/hardwater) it can lead to loose motions and stuff!.. tc guys
