The Official Chandigarh Offline Meet(G2G) Thread

Yes, finally the G2G happened in Chandigarh!
Morning 06:30 hours, reached FR and met Vaibhav. Had a chit chat and as it looked to both of us that no one else is going to turn up, so we left for Kasauli.
Morning breez and it was the perfect temperature to ride. Through the straights soon we reached Parwanoo, and that is when the curves strated. For a while I got stuck beind a truck and man after that I was struggliing on my R15 to keep up with Vaibhav, even with the MRF meteor's rubber which I consider are not good for cornering he was fast enough. Finally met him at the railways crossing from where we both reached the intersection for Kasauli. Had a small break there and headed for Kasauli again. Here we are, at Kasauli barrier. I go ahead to get the parking slips and Vaibhav is like do you really wana roam here, and I was like I thought he wants to go up till Monkey point.
In a while we both understood what we wanted and took a U turn to head back via the other root from Kasauli to Parwanoo. The road is narrow and at times the oncoming vechiles surprize you. But it was fun to come up with another root. We reached Parwanoo and decided to have breakfast at FR Mc D's. Both had breakfast and planed for a trip to Chitkul.

It was really fun riding with you! A refreshing ride early morning. Thanks for the brief log and pics.. we should plan excursions like this more often ..

And regarding the chitkul/kalpa ride, lets fix up a weekend soon. I suggest the one after Diwali. With sat and sunday + day's leave extra we can comfortably have a relaxed ride...

Well, there is no fix schedule for an offline meet. A few guys available at one common time meet up/ ride to someplace. Follow this thread, you will get all the information you need.

@others: Lets try to be more proactive and uplift the xBhp Chandigarh chapter.

I propose a small ride this Sunday. My idea: Bhakra Dam . Amit, Akshay and others what say?

Edit: Amit, the chitkul kalpa ride had to postponed to next friday night (start late 30th night or early 31st morning) due to work related issues this coming Saturday. Also, it may not be just limited to just kalpa ... PM me if you are interested, will give you the itenarary/details there.

@Kurt/ Biker_Boy: I see ONLY you two are the real torch-bearers of the Chandigarh Offline G2G scene. Great job, really. But, I cannot help but wonder, aren't there many Chandigarh xBhpians who are interested in G2Gs?

I tell you if there would have been such a ride G2G (like the Kasauli one you both did) here in Delhi, atleast 30 members would have turned up!

I was really glad to see Amit turn up at Fun republic at 6:20 am on the 11th but at the same time felt let down as the others who had agreed to come did not/could not make it ... know what Aryan sometimes I wish I worked in delhi specially being from there ... Dhaba meetings would have been fantastic every other sunday seeing the sheer number of the delhi xBhpians ... Nonetheless, we'll keep trying and I know we will not be let down by the other chandigarh folks ... The size will grow here too, exponentially

Well most of the chandigarh Xbhpians i know can be found hanging out at Sec 5 panchkula's unused parking lot everyday around 5 .

^^Well I guess its a pit that those folks are not to be found on the Chandigarh G2G Thread ... Though I wonder what goes on daily at an unused parking lot!

They are active here but i do not know why they do not post on this thread.

Nothing wrong is going on in the parking lot, stunting etc is done on a private stretch of road with permission from the owner

never said anything wrong goes on .... Just that my limited insight primarily foresees rides and tours all the time, and thus tend to associate every other thing with it ... so the concept of stunting doesnt actually fit in ...

It does for certain people, different perspectives. I personally relate stunting to hooliganism, but many would disagree
