Re: Mechanic in Trivandrum with good understanding of bikes
Belated thanksOriginally posted by milancherian View PostP.S : Happy Bday Deville Anna!

Where are you staying in Trivandrum??Originally posted by viks783 View PostHello Riders
Can you please suggest my a good knowledgeble mechanic in Trivandrum for Honda Unicorn. I have been to authorised Honda service center but they are just waste of time literally. They don't understand the issue and they don't even take pain to drive the bike just to double check what I am saying. On top of that I am not from Kerala so language barrier is also an issue. Please go through my sad story below and suggest
...
Since few months I am struggling with my Unicorn (2005). Issues are - it doesn't start on morning. This was not the case before, neither I have this issue with my other vehicle which is a Bajaj Spirit 2004! It will only start either after 7-8 kicks or choke and two kicks. Once it starts there is no proper throttle response. It feels as if it is out of petrol. Then once on the road and if an incline is there then it's done. I have to rave harder to get it across. On top of that if I am riding pillion then it's finished
. This is one case.
Other issue is with RPM. If I am riding constantly at 60-80 Kmph then revs don't settle down immediately once I release the throttle. It takes good 15-20 seconds to come back to idle of 1200. This badly affects my braking because engine is pushing the bike with high revs and so brakes don't respond.
Last thing is my exhaust. It's a stock and suffering from rust which caused a small hole beneath it. What do you suggest should I try to weld it would it help? because new stock costs 7k so if there's any cheaper option then why not try before investing in this huge amount.
Please guys help me out. It's been 3 months since I am suffering with all these issues...
