Im sorry i dont know the procedure but why do you want to take your R15?You can get used(even new) NINJA 250's for dirt there!id seriously suggest you to get a ride there.and with the roads there,trust me you wont enjoy a R15.

if its just abt spending abt 3000 , i feel its a better deal bringing my own than getting a 250,i'm planning to go full joel on my bike anyway

Guys i need some suggestion over here,my bike rear tire(IRC) has seriously undergone wear and tear in the middle portion sides are fine.when i showed to a mechanic he said it kinda ok for 5k kms my bike have already done 11.5k on odo and i am sure that it is ok for 60-70kmph speed ride.Should i change before the Wyanad trip as it have lots of twistes need valuable suggestions

IRC has this serious problem .. even absal's 220 which has done just some 8k kms has totally worn out central portion like yours. and its not so saef to ride with that to wayanad... so ride with this for a month and get a new one a week before the ride. like AJ suggested, SIRAC is a good option for mixed kinda road like ours. some new variant of sirac called sirac sport is also in the market now which is better than the current one, and focuses on more on road than off road. check that out..or ask abt that tyre in tyres thread and the member 'gogreen' aka gaurav lal.. he is the manager of michelin india two wheeler tyres..he can get you the details of dealer, cost, everything.
i can vouch for its quality.. i m running on M45 for last 10k kms and it still looks brand new and wil go for another 15k easily . sadly this is available in 18" n dont think it comes in 17"... if its there, then this is better than sirac ! now michelin is cheaper than even MRF !!

15k will be max you can squeeze off IRC/Pirelli's.and the reason only the center is shaved off is the same old problem of many not spending time with their ride sideways! its actually common among riders with IRC/Pirellis!
and on if you have to change your tires...well its hard to say without seeing it.but if i had a uneven wear and tear bet. the side and center id definitely change.its affects cornering a lot more than we imagine,cause as soon as you straighten your bike you are loosing grip.with good exit speeds that can be a problem.

Thanks Jayamohan chettan and Varun,I have heard that sirac will influnce on topspeed and pick up. some of the p220ians experience so.what about the stock p220 mrf zapper tyre?
