An eyer opener
It was Saturday morning I slept at 03:00 am as I was late from a party, got up at 6:00 am, and then I thought that do I have that much willingness to get away from my bed I was not willing to get apart from it, but then I think for Mohit the man behind a new meaning for biking… Bikers for good and my long term friendship with him. I convinced myself and was out of bed. By 07:00 am I was on Rajeev Chawk Gurgaon.. I was late … almost 20-25 bikers waiting…out of which two were know… Mohit and Shivraj.. Few familiar faces and rest everyone was unknown… but we all were headed for a common ride… the common cause.>>>
We reached at visually challenged school by 08:00 am and there we got a very warm welcome by kids and teachers they were so excited to meet us… we bikers gathered in a hall where our eyes were tied up with a black cloth and there Mohit started briefing us about the school... their culture and do’s and don’ts.>>
The school prayer was started and it was almost after 12 years I heard the National Anthem which actually take me to past and I started feeling like a kid when I was in school… then I realized that how much practical we have become as we are growing older. How could we forget the childhood oath when we use to commit that “ALL INDIANS ARE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS”. Then we heard a voice of girl seeking help from us. She can be anyone from us.. she can be a mother, a sister or a fellow friend or may be a unknown who is looking for her safety and protection for herself. Women who add so much to us who sacrifices a lot for us are we actually reverting against same .Our eyes were closed and tied up with a black cloth where we experienced the blindness for couple of minutes and that few minutes were hard to pass. But asked our self that do we actually able to see or will remain like this forever and close our eyes by looking the activates that happened in Sahara mall, or may be at Dhaula Kuan.>>
Who is actually visually challenged the kids around me it’s me actually??? There blindness is fate but ours is sin…so we what should be my next approach???I have decided to do my part and try to bring the change, if I can,t do anything at least I will not behave like a handicap.>>
I have seen the most beautiful eyes on this meet where many of my questions were answered. I have heard the best of the voice that has awaken my inner soul.>>
I am thankful to Mohit for this initiative and surely this step will bring change in society. Thank you to Sam for wonderful music that was played during event.>>
So should I still call it as a Black Ride…? I am little different with my thought here… I will call it as a Bright Ride…..>> Last edited by aseemb85; 04-16-2012, 12:12 PM.A wing rider now....
