Its a definite NO from my side on these current dates. I was 95-98% in had this been on 26th Jan or this new year. Consider me in for the ride if it gets moved 2 weeks further to 8/9/10 March.

How is the road from Region #3 to Region #1? It used to be horrible the last time I went there not too long ago (3 odd months back).

              Xeno,

The day-date link is a bit off. February 8 and 9 is Fri - Sat and not Sat - Sun. Same is the case with Feb 15-16. Could you please correct and re-post the info? Thanks.

                Maneesh ji,

Dates are Sat & Sunday only and yes it is a 2 day event for Gujarat as well as Maha guys, if we leave from our respective places early on Sat we can reach Vansada by late afternoon I guess. We can arrange our stay and have the G2G, Sunday Early morning we can all ride upto Saputara have some fun and disperse.

For me either of the 2 dates are ok

Guys , take a hint from yearly G2G conducted from South, make it Tri or even multi state G2G and make it 3 days, as for the hosts it will be 2 day but for other states 2 days won't be ideal.
Good to see that finally apart from south other parts also starting interstate G2G. all the best . and ofcourse give credit to thread/topic initiator

Xenologik:- Thought would share few what I learned over the years. First we need to contact our neighboring state to know their interest. Then you'll need to identify a co-ordinator who will in turn gather data and be a focal point.

For every one we plan a 2day event..
First day meet up, explore the area, night camping in tents(if available) or forest guest house...(in case of area 1)..
Second day sight seeing in the morning and by noon or post lunch...we can disperse back...

I guess the same was clarified by Xeno's post with dates option as February 9-10 or 16-17 both being weekends..

Hope to meet as many guys as possible..
Please confirm your name so as to enable the best of hospitality.

Inder I think two days would be enough since the venue is not too far For the both as the Tentative venue is on the border of Maharashtra and Gujarat

Corrected, we tend to keep it on weekends as most people wont be having a day off on fridays. At best the ride could start at friday afternoon and reach vansada / saputara by evening.

The maximum distance for Maharastra guys will be from Pune which will be 360 kms or 5-6 hours of riding. I think we should first host a 2 day ride then try for a 3 day one for having more participation.

Even the first interstate meet of Bangalore-Chennai guys which I myself was in was for 2 days and later due to sheer sucess the later rides were of 3 days.

Thanks for the head up ! We do plan to have pre rides for newbies but as such the groups in Gujarat are very small and the ones I know are fairly good with group riding. We plan to do a ride frequently as an excuse to ride anyhow

I am the coordinator for Gujarat guys, mainly Ahmedabad. Other individuals from other cities will be helping me in managing their cities.

So far I am leaving it to Shardul Tare for communicating with the Maharastra guys as he himself is a pune wala now in Gujarat. It may seem messy for now but we should be able to finalise stuff more clearly by end of this year. February is still far off so we'll have more concrete confirmations as the dates approach.

Booking the venue wont be an issue either as our group has contacts in the forest dept.

Ill update the distances from some cities in the first post.

This started as a small idea on Mumbai thread and now we have a dedicated thread. Wow. Im.in for the ride but dont have any experience in planning such an event. Im ready to pitch in in whatever small way i can. Thanks for the initiative. Lets make this happen.
Just flick the switch and twist my wrist
The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark
The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.
