ISG2G - MH-GJ-KTK-AP Chapter V.1 - 18th - 20th Apr 2014-Velneswar beach

    Amboli from Bangalore should be around 10-11 hrs (riding time with 50-55kmph) + 1hr Breakfast + 1.5 hrs Lunch + 3-4 bakar/sutta breaks (2hrs) so totaly 16 hrs ride .
    This too I have not taken into consideration buffer time or any time wasted like last ISG2G we wasted an hour because of Advaniji in Salem

    So in practicality Amboli seems fine for me too and should be good for Bangaloreans , my only worry is for for our Gujarati mota bhai's...

      Sorry to interrupt... I don't mean to hurt anyone posting this... but 1hr for breakfast and 1.5hrs for Lunch seems to be to long.. instead we can make it to 30mins and 1hr respectively which save some time and we would reach a bit early with some time in hand..

          hello everyone!!! I'am from mumbai and want to come for the g2g...however i don't have a bike as of now but 'll be buying it next month for sure...but dunno when exactly...so i will come if i get the bike and complete the run in period before the g2g...otherwise i won't be able to come... IF I COME then what should i do about the payments and all...??? i read it has to be done in advance...

            Fully understand and respect your suggestion - I am just saying this by experience and to be on the safer side. I myself would be happy if we can reduce this but then ...

            In all probability we would start early (read 2-3am) which would mean less sleep and ride in the sun the whole day till about dusk maybe.
            So breaking/stretching muscles every 2 hours is suggested to keep our bodies hydrated and sound.
            And specially after lunch human body tends to be a bit giddy.

            I myself never used to believe in hydration of body and stretching muscles etc. but learnt a lesson hard-way once when I had almost blacked out but was lucky to stop in time, took rest ,drank water and moved. The problem is we never know till it hits.

            Even in our last year's South ISG2G [MENTION=42765]plasmabhai[/MENTION] had a similar experience, I was just behind him.

              if you have a will to complete the running in before G2G ... you can do it. where there is a will there is a way.

              you can give it to me for a couple of days to complete the running in....he he...

                Amboli is good too. And given that its a hillstation, its preferred (cooler) instead of a beach (burning and moist)

                  arre I know that and mostly i will complete the run in by then...but if i get the bike like only 3-4 days before the g2g then it would be difficult...and my main question is what about the advance payment of tentative riders...???for the t-shirts as well as the stay...

                    Though I was skeptical about Shrivardhan, I was sooper excited about the ride through the Western ghats and then to the West coast.

                    It seemed possible with you fellas of Bangalore

                    But at the end, its about having fun on the road.(Safety being primary )

                    Amboli it is? So be it!!

                      If it is Amboli, i don't think i will be able to make it. Riding 500kms will take a toll on my body and i might not be able to make all the way to Amboli also.

                              So lets make it Amboli, it being a hill station, would be a relatively cooler than a beach. Also, would have some ghats / views for some good clicks
