27th is Gudi Padwa(I hope I'm getting the speling right) and is a holiday for me.I'm working on Sunday.

That's why wanted to check whether I'm only one out here who has holiday on 27th.

MG: So far no one has confirmed. I think only Kashif will be able to make it to Pawana. I have to come back early home., so Bhimashankar will be difficult for me. By the way, how are the ghat roads? Is there any road to reach hill-top?

I read it on net that from Khandas to Bhimashankar, one needs to take either Ganesh ghat or Shidi ghat. I hope you are taking NH4 route via Chowk, Karjat for bhimashankar.

Niks, I got you. been to tamhini 2-3 times, but never tried this route. How is the route?

route is scenic , a lot of off roading , gravel roads , if u go there in the evening , with lights on u feel as if u are rallying (and can sense a navigotor saying "rocks on side , don't cut" ; "2-right over crest , 40" )

I will be taking NH-50 and will come via khed,Sayagaon,Wada,Tokavade,Bhimashankar.I have heard that the roads are terrible condition and too add that I will be riding in the night.
