Do you have some special Thandi? It is not very very cold in early morning. When was the last time you saw early morning?

I see early morning every morning at 7AM from my bike. And thats what I posted.. Thandi hai (Its cold) and not bohot bohot thandi hai (Its very very cold). Besides.. it WAS very cold up untill last week.

And anyways.. It wont take us more than 1 hour 15 minutes to cover the requisite 50km for Khandobachi Jejuri.. and I dont wish to start super early (Say at 5AM) only to return at 9AM and have breakfast in Pune . (Thats what the original post was for before the options were added)

So, as per revised plan..

Road condition at Tamhini: The condition is good. But in small patches, the condition is not good.. can be termed as bad. But rest is good.

Meeting point : Chandni Chowk
Time : 6:00 AM
Starting Time : 6:30 AM Sharp.
Requirement : #1 Riding gear and Document requirement as per mentioned on Page 1.
#2 Please ensure that you tank up the night before the ride.
#3 Please wear extra-knuckle-reinforced riding gloves for the ride and / or try to carry a kitchen knife / can of pepper spray in your jacket pocket as we will be close to Rockrzzz Road (The road now has a name )
Approx Distance : 280 km Return.

Edit: #1 Mahabaleshwar is not a venue because We Always F'in go South! Try something else! We dont go to Tamhini / Amby as often.

#2 Senior members like Vishwas uncle, Niks, NV(If he is not in Chennai) and Inder will be expected to attend this one. (1 for the team guys..) It will be even better if some people from Mumbai can join in. Newbies like me need guidance from seniors as apparently we have been doing it all wrong when it comes to group rides and Mumbai people are much more disciplined in this regard and hence will be a good source of knowledge.

I will not be able to attend this one. I actually need to learn all those things but don't want to take this route. Too time consuming. Would have joined if the ride ended latest by 10 am.

DK, From where will you be riding to Amby? Pune or Panvel? If it's Panvel, then do let me know, I may come with you.. But it's tentative.

Its good to see a group ride been planned after my crash which i can attend now , but as vishwas told we can keep a small ride as its a newbie introduction ride, and you cant expect every rider to ride 280 kms in single day as many people will be exhausted, so if its a newbie introduction ride hat we can plan is something like going to amby valley and coming back, as i am not a person who loves offroading on my R15

Can the venue be changed to someplace else..i personally dont like offroading! and can we go to some new place!!

Guys.. its not off-roading.. there is a ROAD.. sometimes its not so good.. but there is a road.. The route.. in no way.. involves taking bikes up a mountain side.

Suggest alternate 'New Location's if you want an alternate.

How many vote for "Khandoba's Jejuri" as the "New Location" of choice. I would love to go anywhere where there is maximum participation.

century TVS for scooty is the best, even he can secondly try tvs center at baner where he can have a word with mr paranjape and he does really good job.

Guys... we are not talking about the rout which u take from NH17 to reach Pune via Tamhini... we are talking about the rout which is used to reach Lonavala via Tamhini.... that road was very very superb for off roading.... but the last time i went there (before Vishwas and Inder left for LEH ) the entire stretch was be re-laid with fresh tarmac.... and that was disappointing I must say...

The Love-Asa-> Tamhini-> Lonavala route is not suggested if u want to do a group ride/ newbie induction ride.... It is basically riding on bad roads.... which most of US DO NOT enjoy... so if max participation is requited.. the route should be some highway with some twisties....

The Lonavala - Amby ride will be 'just a ride to RK'.

So.. When was the last time we did a breakfast ride to Mapro Garden?
And then on the return leg... we could go to the Charanpur temple from Swades (i.e. new location with good roads all the way)..

This one sounds better ain't it?

Need Help !

Guys, since most of you have been there & done that 'N' no. of times and it being currently a hot TOD here, I want your suggestions regarding this proposed ride any time soon.

Raid-de-Ghats ! - Google Maps

• I will be starting from Belapur phata on Palm Beach road by 7am and ride towards Kolad via NH17.
• I will take diversion from Kolad towards Pune via the cursed (ROCKRZZ) road to reach Tamhini by noon.
• After that I will proceed towards Pavana dam and visit Tikona fort by 2pm.
• I will start the return leg by 3pm and try to reach back to Belapur Phata by 6pm via NH4.

What I want to know from you guys is regarding road conditions especially from Kolad to Tikona and potential places where I can take good VEG lunch near Tamhini. Also some tips & list of must see places during this ride would be appreciated
