A first class example of nothing but bitter prejudice against fellow bikers !
You start your statement with 'I can imagine' and yet make it look like you are putting forth a very convincing argument ignoring all the while that you had only set out imagining everything.

Allow me to enlighten a few things.
Riding today consists of

1. Sport Riding
2. MX /Dirt riding
3. Touring
4. Stunting
5. Trials

I will only attempt to elaborate a little on Sport Riding since you seem to be completely aloof of its existence.
In sport riding the emphasis is on technique. We have had countless riders coming in and thumping their chests saying " I dont need techniques and the bookish knowledge"
These are the riders who crash out the very first time they even attempt to tackle a corner. How big is the technique ? Big enough to sustain multiple competitive events to the tune of MotoGP and WSBK and create the likes of Rossi and Augustini and Guy Martin and McGuiness and Lorenzo and Stoner.
Now, riders riding to lavasa are almost 100% of the time found practicing certain techniques. Find me one rider who goes to Lavasa regularly and is an A hole to talk to and I shall bow to you. If u wanna hate on someone cause that someone simply is a better rider and doesn't believe in your touring philosophy then by all means please do so. But right now the only person spewing some unwanted not-needed attitude is YOU !

Atleast attend a few lavasa rides and get to know what goes on there so that I could give a shit about your prejudices. Else, keep to talking sweet to fellow xBHP members.

Btw, I completely agree with you here. The only reason I did not respond to Urvashi's post was to avoid starting a debate. Heck, I am also one of those who goes to Lavasa sometimes to practice cornering

Apart from Sport Riding, MX /Dirt riding, Touring, Stunting, Trials , there is THIS Vast majority of noob confused riders who dont know where they belong (yet) and perhaps Urvashis comment was more on them.... Such people end up trying too hard, wanting to show that they 'belong' to this category and can be hazardous!
Thankfully most xBhpians (atleast I could say so confidently for Mumbai) agree and correct themselves the moment a senior pokes them. No wonder all the mumbai-pune lavasa ride begins with a statutory disclaimer that "DO NOT WATCH THAT A** H*** Sagar!" , and "Ride within your limits for now"

There you asked about an A** H*** who visits Lavasa - Thats him. Mr. Sagar 46 Sheldekar

Ahole or not...if you see him ride after CSS he is the biggest, baddest and the meanest muthafcuka out there right now. He has been to lavasa for half his life on one bike alone..he knows the bike inside out.
The whole CSS gang when seen at lavasa was a team of transformed riders.
We have gotten quite a few new members since the oldies stopped posting here. I request new members to see some of these riders ride at lavasa on any sunday that suits you. You will be transformed. I was, in October 2009 when I bought my first bike and rode with these men. If it doesn't appeal to you...you can always get back to whatever does... like touring/stunting/dirt riding/posting on forums.

@alibaba : I was out of touch since February. Wasnt posting cause I had almost given up on biking. Then I had a word with Tourjith..and we are sure that the bike beckons us both more than what life does. Back to it again this weekend onwards

He isnt rash..nor dangerous to other bikers..untill you attempt to do what he is doing that is.
Many riders at Lavasa are not to be followed...not because they are dangerous..or rash...but because they will disappear in a matter of 2 corners and in an attempt to keep up you will end up biting the dust. Not a hard and fast rule..but quite a probability.

I am all for banning him though...hahah ban sagar from going to lavasa..for lyfe hahaha
