After the dhaba session LP, saaki, suhail, manish and I left for delhi. Lp went bit fast as he had his office at 2, saaki was also behind LP..
Suhail, Manish and I were crusing around 90-100kmph as roads were pretty empty...broad and clear but i was slowing myself at every crossing intersection(village people you see).
At one intersection suhail and I were together and slowed our bike at the intersection due to some vehicle(dunt remember). Manish was behind us and he said that he never noticed the crossing and seeing us braking...his bike collided with mine from the back...I wobbled for 5 seconds but thank god I balanced myself, dunno how but I did. However, he lost his balance and slided with the bike.
Hopefully, his windcheeter saved him from some excessive wounds and left him with minor injuries on his arms and his leg.
Then we called up LP and saaki....Saaki had a pillion rider so it was a bit easier to take the bike although the right footpeg was broken.
Saaki drove the bke for 100kms and then manish drove it as he found himself fine.
Thank god that no vehicle was coming from behind but on the highways just diverting from driving can be very risky at times.
From today seeing whatever happened, I very much insist that riding gears must be there.

The knee and elbow guards which I bought are really comfortable and definitely they are a support to you during any mishappening.
That could have been much more nasty, for some other factors like oncoming traffic. Good to know that Manish is ok now, it could have been worse. Thanks to all that expensive riding gear, which now looks cheap as it saved something priceless (the rider's life). Rightly said, good riding gear is a must.

@all: o mitraan, photue te aithe paa do

    Khayal rakhi sab.

    Happy & safe riding,
    Prakhar

Thanks Rohit for giving us description of the accident. Everytime I hear of an accident I try to take some lessons from it. Nice to know that Manish is doing fine now.

                        Great Interstate Bikers Meetup ....!!!

                        Dear All,

Thanks to every1 of you for making the G2G a grand Success...!!

Cheers to the spirit of motorcycling and the common platform that brings us together with the love for riding , it is on long rides like these that you realise that there's more to life than the mundane office routine's , the sense of freedom and happiness with hundred bucks of petrol and an open road and ofcourse the how precious human life is....

Riding on the Highway teaches you all this ....but one thing most of us felt today was the pure thrill and sense of achievement and the way we enjoyed the entire ride...

A tremendous show of enthusiasm by RX100, L.P. , Kunjal, Rohit Mundra , Suhail, Aseem, Sherry, Xeno , Sunny rags,Manish
I was riding with Jitu a Friend of mine.

It was a wonderful sense of samaritanism by the Chandigarh xBHPian's as they were already at the Dhabha...kudos to our very own DCS , Amit [Bikerboy] , Prakhar, and Akshay who rode all the way down to Karnal...Great to meet u guys....Will look forward to more of suh G2G's in the future...

Some of us had to return back due to prior committments...
However Manish's R15 met with an accident unfortunately...

I hope Manish is okay ...The Bike was okay even after the Fall...
only the Brake footpeg was broken and the right hand side rear view mirror and indicator as well...

I rode Manish's R15 while my friend rode my R15, it was a bit of a task to ride it, but then a generous Thanks to Suhail and Rohit who rode in formation all the way...i was only able to use the Front brakes so Sohail and Rohit were escorting this bike...was a Good show brothers

Manish was able to drive after about 80 kms..

Overall it was a spectaular G2G...with loads of pics and Bikes and Bikers and the bit of super smooth Highway near Panipat was the piece of cake..

                        @ Chintu , Bandhav , Aryan - Missed u guys..
As did we realise the importance of knee guards and proper gear..they can save ur arse on a bad day
