    you better say it as "not all wanted to be in a formation".

    BTW, it was you who gave an option of ripping. Well I understand that there were SBKs. I am still unable to figure out why the SBKs cant maintain 80kmph. If I am not wrong, its up to the rider to maintain that speed. Mind 80kmph is not low( that's close to 50mph).

      Kriss was maintaining even less than that initially during our Pocharam ride, what happened to him on that day-got excited seeing the R1s&ripped off kya?

        I would not like to ride a superbike at 80 kmph on that fantastic highway. In fact, I would not even like to keep my karizma at 80 kmph on that highway.

          30+ bikers in formation on a trafficked national highway is not safe by any standards. I did ask KP to sub-divide the huge group into smaller 6-8 bike ones but for some reason it didn't happen.

          Even during the ride out of city, the riders around me could not anticipate the needs of an SBK vis a vis the turning circle, the limited maneuverability etc and I was boxed in on more than one occasion. I am in no way pointing towards a lack of riding skills in anyone...its just that the SBK's are different.

          As for what is called 'ripping', do you seriously think that me and sunny would be keen on ripping after more than 10k kms on the open road over the past two months on the same bikes?

          It was purely a matter of safety and I again state that such a huge group trying to maintain formation on a public highway, anywhere in the world, is asking for trouble.

              Thats what I intended to say, sub-division happened by itself even though it was not communicated. Infact me, KP and three others had formed a group(5 of us) and there were two other such groups while going towards the dhabha. I was disagreeing with KP on "How come no one wanted to ride in the formation?"

              Oh! really! I also didn't think in that way. I was thinking why the SBK guys kept breaking the formation(I was initially paired with a SBK), now I realized it.

              No sir, definitely not. Again that statement was to KP as he said that the SBKs can not be run at low speeds or something like that.

              Yep, I agree on that part, I did at number of occasions especially while overtaking felt that way.

              Also had a different experience while riding along with the lone jawa in the ride at 60kmph towards the Dhabha.

              old fox, thank you for the enlightening post. I found some answers to the questions / doubts which came up in my mind on the group riding.

                    yes we exchanged.. And sunny is in total love with busa.

                    Which girl are you talking about ? There were two of them.

                    One was sheetal...and another was pillion of sunny(his sister).

                        "Riding in a formation on a Highway". Doesnt it send shivers to your spine ?

                        There was an option of " people who want to rip.. come aside, cruisers on the other side ".. Wasnt it ?

                        We did ride with discipline in the city till we reached the outskirts of the city.... and even till runway 9 i remember. Then after we were scattered.

                        I didnt find anything went wrong on the day... but few surprises like nawabs joining us... and you joining us from mumbai out of nowhere... !!!

                          I was literally shocked to see him on that day.

                          Me and RaviKiran was supposed to ride slow and together on that day. We even started late to all. After a few kilometers Mr. Ravikiran told me he going to rip and suddenly disappeared. I rode at 80 kmph for some time and then started to rip at 110 to catch some of the guys. I even took a small break for 10 min.
