Its 10:50 pm and this is the only time i have to write the trip log here...don't expect anything more than a short story

April 30 - Election in Mumbai so it was declared half a day at work....most of the guys had planned something and so even i was eager to do a small ride..or may be relax and have a small break away from home....Apparently the thought of doing a Mt.Abu always kept coming back on my mind i still didn't think that it would be an easy task to do..moreover i ride a very old HH Ambition which would find difficult to keep the rev meter high all throughout....so what can i do for a lovely 4 day weekend...without tiring myself....???????
Shruti also had holidays so we both decided to just go somewhere out for the weekend and chill out..places that we shortlisted had Nasik in it...all the more she was inquiring if had i met marcus in a while...and if he is alright...(Well i had ditched marcus once..i was supposed to take him out..he had been bed ridden for almost 2 months and had not seen the outside world during that time)....so i called Marcus to ask him if he was alright to join us for a small trip to Nasik..(He also has a bungalow there)....i asked Marcus to post on Xbhp if any more people where interested...apparently Inder and Deejay gave a thumbs up and we were on for the trip...

Plan was to just meet..drink...watch some movies and break free from all the daily routine....

We left on Friday Afternoon/Evening May 1 : 5:00 pm from Mumbai - Nasik in my Zen and Marcus accompanied so three of us drove and reached Nasik by 8:00 pm. Inder and DJ was on time and we they didnt have to wait even for a minute for us; vice- versa, it was so perfect that the Pune guys reached and we reached almost together...together we landed at Marcus house and did the greetings...Apparently Marcus mom was already there who had made all the arrangements for Snacks, Tea etc...

While on the road we realized that it was May 01(Maharashtra day/Labour Day)...so it was effectively a dry day...but somehow before the Kasara Ghat at a small dhaba i got some whiskey which would solve the purpose of all tired souls...
Shruti slept in the car while Marcus and i were involved in a deep conversation about how the other Mumbai Xbhpians have ventured into so many places and about Mt.Abu...etc...
After the small snack and all at Marcus house...the four of us leaving Shruti and Marcus mom we left to get some dinner for ourselves....caught hold of somethings to eat and back to the bungalow to booze...we drank and we got over with it...by the time Shruti also managed to get in touch with a friend of hers named Ketki...so it was Ketki..her better half and 5 of us who were chilling out in the late evening....actually it was more of talking session...DJ and Inder were trying to figure out what movies to play..actually the collection that i got was a bit boring..so after sometime everyone got bored and we just left the thought of watching the movie....Day one ended and all went fast asleep ..Ketki and her friend left by midnight and the lights went off...

Day two...
By the time we got up Marcus mom had left and we were thinking about what to be done...Shruti suggested Tiger Hill for a taste of wine and some breakfast...as we had nothing to do we landed up at that place...had healthy breakfast...and played pool...
Later on while coming back..we went to a Buddhist monestry...and it was my first visit to such a place...i was so amazed by the architecture..(sadly no one was carrying a camera)
Later part of the day we were wailing time out at his bungalow and at 3:00 pm when everyone was hungry we left for lunch..actually in search of Domminos...we roamed about for a while to figure out where Domminos is but in the end we found out where Smoking Joe is ..had Pizza and later on had some ice-cream to finish our 2 course meal...
Inder was damn persistent on going to Sula Vineyard and i was too lazy to drive...but then the pressure increased when Marcus joined Inder in forcing me....and i caved in when Shruti forced me to take them to Sula....
After about a 20-30 minute drive we landed up at that splendid Location and then ....kya hua...

Continuing from where i left off.....

So we were at Sula and didnt know what to do, we choose to do some wine tasting..they have a wine tasting snd wineyard touring for 150 rs/- per head and we choose to do the session...had six different types of wine from red to white from sour to sweet..which was a nice way to give us a chance to choose the best wine that they have rather than sitting like jerks and drinking what they offer....our tastebuds were smittering and wanting more of the new wine that is going to hit the market...Dindori reserve......
We ordered and drank till we were only capable of reaching home....rest all left for all of you to imagine our state at the end....
Inder and DJ got some more Vodka for the post wine session...and goodness of them they let me also drink it...and then after a nice sleep for 5 hrs we all left Marcus abode at 5:30 am...and it was almost 8:30 am that we reached home...still had a hangover from lat evening and was very tired..so reached home and slept....

Winzee you guys can visit that place too...I know I am not in a position to accompany anyone, but we can give directions...hopefully one of you guys have someone familiar in Nashik to stay for a while, but you can also make it a one day trip no big deal for you long riders...just be careful with the amount of wine you return with...that's all.

Gosh! I hope I cud join u guys... but work has been too hectic sine I shifted to delhi, I have been traveling to various parts of north India but unfortunately without my bike

Its a love and hate relationship
Love the roads but traffic sense sucks...
People are nice but hate the way they speak.. (latth maar)
Love the big cars here but hate the way people driving those cars look at u
Love the food in dhabas but fancy restaurants here are too expensive

So still trying to figure out the balance
