Yess.. We did it again... Another Crashfree Funfilled G2G succesfully completed. Now I have started believing that unplanned rides are the best ones indeed.

2) Shadowboy - Red R15

7) Jatin(Anthony's friend) - Green zma
Amby Valley for Mumbai xBhpians has become an appetite. Where as Shadowboy, to my surprise has not been to this place ever before. He called me at the beginning of this week for a ride to Amby on the weekend. I didnt have any problem as it's not that far and can be easily done within a few hours time. The only thing which kept me tentative was the MBC's 3rd Anniversary celebration.
7th May '09 is MBC's 3rd Anniversary. But being a weekday, MBC guys preferred celebrating on the weekend that is on 9th May. I was bound to go for the celebrations. Didnt want to miss it. And Shadowboy had planned the Amby ride on the very next day early morning.
During this week, Anthony got in my touch on Orkut asking for plans for the weekend. I told him to contact Shadowboy for plans and immediately both of them were game for Sunday's Ride. Anthony anyways was heading to Amby solo on Sunday. He got good company.
On Saturday morning, I informed SB that I'll be able to attend the ride only if I return home from the celebrations early on 9th May night because otherwise it would have been difficult getting up early the very next day. I had asked them to carry on if I dont make it to the ride.
Fortunately, I came back home by 12 in the night after the celebrations and called SB to confirm if the ride is on or not. He said it is and there we were from 2 the ride has grown to 4. I along with a very close friend of mine, Umesh - riding a blue R15, joined in for the ride. Anthony said his friend is also joining in. So we were 5 in total.
PLan was to meet at Panvel McD at 6 in the morning. SB and Anthony with his friend reached the venue just in time and that's when co-incidently Rachit was passing by and saw SB and guys at McD. He was on his way to Amby with his friend. He stopped by and joined the group. Whoa..now we had become 7 member. Cool.
I was totally surprised to see so many people for an unplanned ride of 2. With a formal introduction we all were set to roll.
There was a distint connection between all of us and were riding at a constant 90-95km/hr. Occasionally ripping our machines.
First pit stop at Lonavala Expressway entrance. A few pics here and there from SB's cam and off we were towards Lonavala.
With anthony leading the troop, we took a small short cut for amby and reached a Railway crossing near Lonavala Station. Waited there for a few mins till the train passes by and continued the journey. Reached Amby in no time. Roads were just awesome and the climate too. Without wasting any time we went directly to Cloud9 restaurant. Sat there for some time. Did some chit chatting. Some jokes here and there. Took our breakfast(which was a disappointment..the last time we went there things were much better n different).
Enough at the hotel we said and started gearing up to head towards the Amby city. Took a couple of formation pics and off we were. Went straight to the Amby City entrance enjoying the roads and took a U turn. All this while we took a good look at the road and saw some good corners.
While returning back, stopped at some really nice corners for photo shoot. Anthony was all set with his beautiful Panasonic Lumix FZ28 and Rachit with his Zma to scrape the knees.
We already know how good Rachit is a rider and especially in the corners. He impressed all of us since the Ganpatipule ride. Even today while going to Amby, Rachit and Anthony were literally throwing their bikes in almost each n every corner at some awesome speeds. I had never ridden with Anthony before and boy o boy..he's got balls of something else. Great rider I must say.
Continuing from where I stopped, we took positions on a beautiful left hander corner and one by one started rolling in. Anthony captured some god awesome pics. After some time and lots n lots of too and fro.. we said enough of lef hander..now let's take on a right hander.
Went a few meters and as Amby is full of twisties, didnt take it too long for us to find a good right hander. Again some knee scrapping action there and some real beautiful PIcs.
Even before the pics roll in.. I am making a point that Rachit's pics and his leans are gonna impress a lot of people. I tried my hand in cornering too. I till now used to use an unconventional method while cornering. I used to lean my bike till the foot rest scrape but never took my knee down. Today with some good tips from Rachit and co, tried to master the art. I am still no way close to it but atleast I triend and gonna keep trying..

When done with the pictures, left for Mumbai and with just one hault for cold drinks, we rode non stop till Panvel. Rachit, Anthony and I were riding like crazy dogs on expressway taking cornering literally parellel at 3 digit speeds. Rachit..thanx for the fun man..
Reached Panvel and waited for the FZ guy to arrive. That's when Bat aka Darkknight called SB to knw where we are. He agreed on meeting us on JNPT road. We went there and the small figure was there..
Spent some chillaxed time with him and finally left for home. Reached home at 2pm sharp. Concluding the log, thanx a lot to all the guys for making the day. It was damn fun.
The log is without pictures and I request all those who have pics upload them as soon as possible with a small description or title to it.
Off to you SB, Anthony and Rachit..
Cheers...!
