@Anurag sir: I am just curious to know that why you have chosen Intruder? Is it any ways better than Harleys or this is the only officially launched crusier in India (apart from Aquila)...

Sir, please don't take it in wrong way. I am not saying anything about your beautiful beast but as far as I know, when it comes to cruisers, people's choice is harley. just want to know your point behind Intruder.

P.S. Even I am looking for a pillion ride on your beast as I am not very good when it comes to riding cruisers..

        • AFAIU, he must have bought this as it was the only officially available high performance cruiser in india, and its being officially available he can get loan for buying it, he will be getting warranty on it, he dont need to bother about the parts availbility and all, and yeah he dont need worry about DRI or some other govt agency except the IT . To sum it all up he can ride his beast/beauty with complete peace of mind.

Bandhav summed up the answer. He is correct to the dot except there is a catch (read below)

The catch is that in life we all try to look impressive in our decision making. There has to be a plan to everything! From now on; always remember : There is always "less" to it than meets the eye (Pun intended)! You are all young and impressionable - right ? Now if I agree with Bandhav, I don't have to make any effort to look impressive as you are actually by far much more knowledgeable than me in things biking and the biking environment - atleast till I went ahead and bought the bike - you were.

Everything Bandhav says above looks to be the correct answer and infact a part of it is.

The Truth in the order of how it happened is:
            1. I wanted to buy a bike since my friends were talking about going to Leh and on their newly acquired Thunderbirds!
            2. It was a dream for me to join them and go back to biking. I had bad experience with Bullets and don't trust them on quality.
            3. I started searching and found that big Suzuki and Yam's were available too and thought why not buy the best as I always do.
            4. I saw all the bikes and fell in love with the intruder.
            6. I thought about the Harley's but
            A) Didn't want to wait
            B) Knew that even though Harley's are a cult, they are in-fact glorified Bullets! albeit American!
            C) I favor Jap tech over American anyday (be it cars or now bikes)
            5. Then I searched the web and found xBhp and Sunny's magnificent review which sealed the fate.
            6. I went to Suzuki Distributor to have a look.
            7. Called the bank and arranged funds
            8. Picked the bike three days later.
            9. Immediately joined xBhp and became friends with all of you.

            Point to note:
            - Importing never occurred to me
            - Local service, parts availability was important to me.
            - I habitually finance all vehicles I buy as it gets me a tax writeoff.
            - I was blissfully unaware of DRI and its associated problems

            Now Remember:
In life, everything has to have a plan but in fact most of the times there is none. We actually go from opportunity to opportunity and the ones who take them and harness them are called successful whereas the ones who do not are ...... where they were!

Very well said Sir, its actually the truth of life.... you have summarised the practicality of living, in todays world, in just three and a half lines very nice Sir

Save the Earth - We are the one who are running out of time, as Earth will take it own time to heal but that time may not be enough for us.

                • @Anurag - OMG!! I never knew you joined xbhp recently - actually I never see details below avatar pic.
Nwz I was listening to your riding experience on sunday evening in G2G; in INDIA GATE lawns. Sir, trust me listening to you was equal fun as reading the log of your trip. Riding that behemoth must be a bliss in itself.

I'm in love with Intruder. Next time I wish to get a snap sitting on Intruder; of course with your permission.

@Anurag Sir: Sir, seriously speaking, few people from our family (xbhp) are almost a class apart. They are very well suitable for their machines and when it comes to expressing views or sharing thoughts, I found their words as amazing as their machines. Need not to tell that you are one of them.

                          Hoping to meet you soon.

@Bandhav: You never leave any point for cross question or may be I don't have that much knowledge to ask you. Anyways, thanks for your explanation buddy.

@Shivanshu: Sir, can I get your number? If you won't mind..

Bandhav, You were right and as I said, were spot on! The reason I used your response as a part of my answer was to clarify to all that sometimes we assume more than there is to it and even though we do not have any way of knowing otherwise, come to conclusions. It is harmless but in crunch situations can actually lead us to take wrong decisions.

I have here a whole community of dynamic young friends and I am an impulsive writer.

I hope you see the point and are not upset with me!

                              Cheers
