      • If it was an year ago I had a 1988 model Hero Honda CD100 running good and giving 65KMPL

Now, the best I can offer is my dad's 96 model Chetak. He doesn't maintain the scoot well. It still runs at 70 KMPH smoothly and almost effortless.

So have you done all the mods that you were planning?

Warning to them who ride Sagar's Rx-135. Helmet gloves and shoes must and should; you do not know when the piston would seize.:

                • Ride my grandpa's Bajaj Chetak 1988 and feel the difference. The odometer reading is 11k kms. It is as good as new. I clocked 90kmph on it twice.

21 years and only 11k kms??? Definitely we should have a ride on this.

                      • Talking about rides, how about a Bobby GT(1975) or a Vespa 150(1962)??? Sagar, you know who's rides I am talking about.

I don't know about that Vespa but the bobby is a sure head-turner, people no longer turn their head to a R15 but for a bobby they do even after more than 30 years. And it can give some competition to R15 till 40kmph if it is a well maintained one.

                        Raj.

Haha, everyone knows about your inborn evil satan talents. But trust me man, handling classics is a different ball game. They dont come with all the whims and fancy of the new age like disk petal disks, clipons, gas suspensions, etc (What other fancy stuff does an RTR have? ). I learnt my lesson the hard way. Rode my bike like how I used to ride my 200 and I fell flat in the first few meters. Its like you treat them nice and they will treat you back

There is a Bobby being replaced at my mech's place and even a FZ with a RD engine swap Well, I was gonna buy a Lambretta to replace my 200 but settled with RX over a shogun/shaolin/RD/Lambretta/Bobby. I will get to ride 'The' Bobby soon

A well maintained Bobby can turn heads and make people go, "What the heck was that?". Lol. People are so caught up nowadays with the new age bikes that they totally forgot about the classics. They feel Roadkings and Classics are same, and people in my coll think my bike is just a RX100. Sigh! Kind of the same feeling like you buy a P180 and people think its a P150 But, heck, like I care!
