prabhakar: so u taking part in the drag on ur 220 rt?that would be in the category of 210 to 260....timing anythin below 16 would be amazin nd between 16 - 17 could get u a position....all this is according to the last times timing....

rahul:u would also be taking part in the drag nd again that would be on a 220 if not mistaken...there is no stock category for bikes so u would be against the gruop d spec bikes....as u said ur bike is stock....u could go head nd atleast take care of sum weight....since the 220 is dam heavy bike pull of the dome,thiner tyres....this could help get down ur timing by atleast .5 of a second

i would also be taking part on my pulsar in the 130 - 165cc category....

real happy atlast we would a few xbhpian on the drag strip....


how abt the practice drag meet before the 3rd nd 4th....i would get my apche 180 nd surely we could test ur bikes nd c wt are the capable of....nd we always have sagars beast to test ur bikes....

controlled environment??? I am not sure about that. I was not happy with way the people were around that drag strip..!!! Hope they organise in proer way this time atleast.

iam still thinking.. iam not in a position to mod my bike due to many constraints. but prabhakar is ready for anything. we'll have a serious drag session soon...

We'll be having minor modifications on our bikes.
Free flow Exhaust & Filter is the only Mod in the inside of the bike.
We'll increase the AFR to match it as without this the Bikes will run toooooo lean.
We'll also remove all the heavy parts in the bike which are not required (Dome, rear seat, central stand, etc.).
I'm trying to Get the R15 tires for both front & rear which are much thinner than the Stock.
We are engaging a dedicated mechanic for both the days (the drag & Practice days)

This is our plan as of now.

It cannot be earlier as I'll be in the IBA RUN on 27th & 28th.
It cannot be later as 3rd & 4th are the drag dates.

Yeah early morning drag is good.
Rahul & me located a place.
Its good & the best part is its on a 4 lane highway.
We'll go to that place if we don find anything else.
Will not be disclosing the place here.

Depending on the Mileage U get we'll adjust it again.
We can go leaner now too but there will be a slight drop in the top end.

Joel is preparing his Zma for the Hyd drag. The bike is Kushant's which has mods that already produce 24 bhp. Joel bought Kushant's karizma and planned for a huge list of mods and he said he is preparing it for the Hyderabad Drag.

iam aware of this. and iam still interested to have some good experience under controlled environment running with a few really good riders.
i think there is also a stock category..

Sadly, There is no stock category Rahul. Like I said, go for the experience man, forget about winning and loosing. We guys are always around for giving all the required help, support and advice.

Organizing, we can only hope its good. But i know it will be absolute chaotic like last time. For the bikes, it wasnt as messed up as it was for the cars though.

The R15 tires are quite heavy if you ask me. I would rather suggest you to put on spoke rims and really thin zappers for front and rear.

So I picked a Karizma now. Its my 5th bike in my list now. It will share the space with my other bikes, my R15, Fiero 200, Fiero 165 and RTR 160.
I have been working on this bike for the last 3 years and was owned previously our own xbhp member Kushanth. When he decided to sell, I made an offer.
The engine is one of its kind and I have a lot of work already planned. The engine will be worked radically for the upcoming Hyderabad drag in the next 3 weeks.
The bike currently produces over 24bhp with its 223cc mill and does 0-100 in under 9 secs with its 135kilo mass.
Currently running stock CDI and stock gearing and gearbox.
Works planned are,
Programmable digital ignition - Custom maps and custom set-up
My in-house fabricated 245cc big-bore (I'm already working on the set-up)
33mm Mikuni Flatslide CV carb off the BMW F650 twin port set-up
Further cylinder head modifications with revised port profiles
custom fabricated crankcase breather system
A new tuned exhaust
Revised gearing
Rear suspension set-up change
Stiffer front suspension with lowered front
Custom brake rotor + caliper for better stopping power
17" wheels front and rear (a little later) with racing rubber
Revised seating and handling geometry
Steering damper and a lot more.
Will start a thread in a few weeks once the bike takes form.
