1 Ghz snapdragon processor is there only on Toshiba TG01(256 MB ram) and HTC HD2(448MB ram). I would say go for one with ARM Cortex processor.

A+ve / O +ve group donor is required urgently at Yashoda Malakpet - ASAP.

The donor preferably should be a MALE between AGE: 20 to 40. Platelets will be collected from their blood.

Unlike regular blood donation, the donor this case can donate again in 5 days.

Satish - 50kgs - U maintaining that for better performance of the bike? better mileage? faster acceleration and higher top speeds? - i would rather suggest U strip the bikes of a few unnecessary things to compensate on the weight :P..

Coming to why not from females - logical thing is - KP bhai said a valid point + U cant takes risks with the life/future of the donor here - some are size 0 who themselves require a few liters themselves, the other oversized ones aren't really considered healthy - and coming to the healthy ones - most of them look healthier than they actually are - those machines are more complicated and delicate than the MALES - like it was said in one of the threads - these machines automatically get serviced every month - that I guess could be one of the reasons - maybe some of our doctor riders can shed some light on this.

There could be a reason that a doctor can explain. My earlier comment was just for fun.

It's a matter of blood composition and volume. Females have a lower concentration of iron and platelets in their blood, and taking a full unit of platelets out of circulation (so to speak) puts more stress on a female's blood system than a male's. In addition, it takes women longer to replenish the iron in the blood after a donation than men (even with the same diet), and taking a full unit of platelets is equivalent to donating two units of whole blood, and donors run the risk of anemia. (Note, I am not a nurse, but I have friends who work in the blood bank biz, and somebody asked.)"

Nah dada.. nothing serious. I think me & my wife got a sun stroke or kind of on the Saturday when we went to attend our dear Sumit's marriage. The day was very hot and we were feeling the burnt even in the car with ac at its full power - normally we feel cold with ac at 1 or 2 speed in about 20 minutes.

Thank you guys for the quick response. Luckily for today we could find a Donor. I am also O +ve, but the doctors rejected me saying that my veins' size is not suitable for platelets transfusion process. Infact two other folks from team-bhp were also rejected on the same basis. What we have observed is that, only one out of five is either passing the vein size test or platelet count test. A person who satisfies both the conditions will chosen for platelets donation.

Sagar, i will let you whether it is required today in the evening. We noticed that the doctors are asking for the morning only. Also it is recommended to use the platelets with-in 5 to 6 hours, so it may not be favorable to take the platelets from the donors the previous day.
