@all.....I am back on the saddle again. My bike should be delivered in couple of hours from now. Close to 10k is the damage this time around for the ride and for me it was just 56rs (TT - injection)

Guys, i think i have a problem with my bike, there is some weird noise coming out of my engine, when i went to the SVC, they said its a cam-shaft problem and replaced that part, but the problem is still there(or may be i'm hallucinating and the sound is normal )My mechanic says he has to open the engine to check it but does not want to touch it since its under warranty... can one of you guys examine my bike and check if the problem sounds similar to you during a g2g or something?...

people out there i'm planning for a road trip to chennai from hyderabad in a couple of days , any1 interested to join?
Riding Solo,if any1 interested need to come along with their own trasnport i drive pulsar 220,so hoping that any1 interested would ride with the same or near to that.
I also need the Exact Distance from Hyderabad to Chennai and as well as the best route , and the time to cover the distance, when travelled at high speeds.

please tell me in how much time i'll reach to chennai and at what Speed i need to drive.
and i as drive pulsar220 DTSi, i would like to know , how long can the bike handle the high speed,
Looking for a accurate REply guys ..

can Any1 tell me , i actually lifted the height of my shock absorber, that the stock size got them fitted with 2 inch bits .. i know that's a lot of height .
But i'd like to know if there's anyway to increase in the performance of my bike ,without lowering back the height to normal ..

You meant handling right? Which bike is it by the way?

If you want to keep the shocks at what ever height they are and reduce the over-all height, I can only think about one thing right now - reduce the wheel size ....... . But I dont know how would that help though .


For good handling:
1. Frame should be in good condition.
2. Wheels should be balanced and trued.
3. Wheels should be aligned properly.
4. Right amount tyre pressure (normally it is 1 or 2 more than what the mft suggested)
5. Shocks in good condition (oiled well, dust free and oil seals intact).
6. Handle should be in good condition.

In another words oh my dear mighty biker, keep it as close to stock as possible.

For improved handling(hit and trail method):
1. Mess-up your shocks setting.
2. Smooth compound tyres.
3. Lower profile tyres with wider grip.(you might loose a bit of acceleration, fuel efficiency and top speed)
4. Weight reduction!!! (yeah, yours too!!).
5. Become one with your machine.
6. Understanding the dynamics of bike riding (like in how much to lean, when to brake, when to up shift or down shift, when to open up the throttle,.....)

I would like to be on but you did'nt tell me the date and time. And what plans do you have in chennai caus I would like to return soon as I my boss has gifted me a job...
And as for the performance I had read some where(official) that a pulsar engin has been tested for continous 300hrs on the peak rpm(Only engin).
and as per the posts in XBhp many have done saddle sore on 220's so you dont have to worry a bit. Just have tyres checked, chain lubbed, and oil properly filled......



By the way I am thinking from many days about a saddlesore.... on the banglore route....
