What a weekend!
In the past two days I must have done close to 150 KMs of in-city riding. Yesterday after all my personal jobs, met up with Joel and his friend at CTC, Nandambakkam. Took them to St. Thomas Mount(not the station
, but the mount itself). After some sight-seeing of the city from the mount-top, we came to the BP bunk on airport road, had juice at FRUIT SHOP ON GREAMS ROAD. I had to attend a friend's Birthday party, so left them there and went to the party. Came back and picked them up by 6:45 PM. Joel wanted to see what is so special about ECR. So I took them there and then We decided to hit ECR viewpoint. We talked and chatted and stayed there till 9:30 PM. Here I should talk about Joel's R15. Its awesome. Low-end is MUCH better, pulls harder. There was a time when both of us were doing 40 kmph on 6th gear, then whacked open the throttle. By the time my bike pulled to 80, Joel's was atleast 2 bike lengths ahead. It then went on to do a speedo-indicated 132, while mine did a 123 with 4 - 5 bike lenghts between us! This bike could use 6th gear all day long even inside city. Came back and had food at PITSTOP. I thought of accompanying them till CTC, but once we reached Bhatt road, found that Joel's friend had left his bag and cam there. I then took them back till Madhya Kailash and returned home by 00:00 AM. They then went on to collect their bag from PITSTOP and rode back all the way till MMSC at Sriperumbudur. It was a fun evening we had!.
And today morning, I came to Cozee to meet our Praful bhai and all I could find was an empty spot. Called up Praveen to learn about change of plans. Was thinking of leaving when Praful came in. So had a nice chat with him for an hour and left back home. In the meanwhile, there seems to have been a gameshow where the target was to take a snap of an R15. So two guys cam and took snaps of my bike. During return, Praful rode my bike and me his 220. Overall a fun weekend and good meet-ups with lots of activity packed in!
