Question Can Pulsar 180 UG4 DC Electrical System Atttach to Pulsar 200

Guys,

I like to convert my bike to DC. So i heard Pulsar 180 ug4 (which is now avilable in sri lanka) have the DC electrical system. all i want to know can this electrical system attach to my pulsar 200?

Or is there easy way than this?

Proper guideline will appreciate

Loosely im guessing a replacement of the wiring harness and recitifier etc. Also you will have to check whats the power output of the magneto on both bikes, and whether they match. Further the ignition and cdi will have to be sorted out.

Get your hands on wiring diagrams of both bikes and then it will be easier to sort it out.

p 200 and p 180 s magneto are same and simple change of magneto+rectifier will do the job,.this will be safest as all oem parts involved. i also converted my p 180 ug 2 to dc some time back,thanks to xbhp man.though u cant exactly follow my mod as you have a stupid(some say intelligent) bcu unit!!!
so i think changing to ug 4 rectifire is the best option.............

electric gurus,i wonder where are you guys?sajjit/abhijit/rahul/rahuldevnath where are you guys?

Dude, Shree'd already given the link for DC conversion, but he's having very little awareness in this. So no idea how to help Here we are discussing the possible ways that can be tackled, like the way u've sorted out the DC conversion. But u should've some awareness and interest in DIY else, its going to be a head ache. U had both of this than any others so we were also got in full swing and that chemistry worked. thats it.

So all i want to do for this mod is

1. Get the pulsar 180 UG4 coil pack and rectifier
2. Give them to mechanic and tell him to replace my Pulsar 200 coil pack and rectifier
with UG4's

Right?

Yes right. Here you might ve to change the wiring harness as well and it will prove bit expensive (infact too much).
