Exclamation Accidently used 20w40 synthetic blend engine oil in my pulsar 220 dtsi.

Hey guys, i was looking for engile oil all over chandigarh but couldnt find one except castrol or shell. I talked my dad about that i was looking for Motul 5100 ss or Valvoline Premium 4t ss. He handled bike to one of his known mechanic and guess what he did, he actually used Valvoline champ 4t 20w40 synthetic blend engine oil in my pulsar 220 dtsi.

Now dad is like, get it changed next time, atleast around 2months, will my bike survive till then? I drive about 40 kms daily at around 60-80 kmph and sometimes around 120kmph+ when a hi-speed biker taunts me.

What are you recommendations? plz help i dont know much about Engine oils.

Expereince over heating and rough gear changes unless you plan to change the oil ASAP

Change to 20W50 before you roast your engine!
I mean seriously you know that the wrong grade of engine oil is in you got to change it!
Trying to save green bucks? Well then spend now on oil again its not much compared to what you will have to spend for serious engine work!!

You promise to be a good boy and not ride above 70-75 kph?

Then - nothing will happen. NOTHING.

I took my P180 fully loaded to Ladakh and used elf 20w40 (some API SL) for it. No sweat whatsoever, nor any major consumption.
